I have a couple...or more questions about Parallel Lines for PC before I buy it.
1. Is there any kind of Co-op(Cooprative) so that I can play with my brother over LAN? 2. Does it have a multiplayer? I don't think I have heard of anyone talking about it. 3. Is it worth it? I have bought too many games lately that have bored me in the first 2 weeks playing it. I have always enjoyed shooter games on the PC more than consoles, more precise and easier. Not to brag, but I can easily get into the top 5 on most shooters. Thanks in advance, Stealthzerty -------------------------- Far Cry 3:Welcome to Vegas |

It aint got any online mode features, but it is still great fun, there is none of the console glitches/bugs on the PC version, and with the graphics turned up full with anti aliasing and antistophic filtering up full too, it looks great, and to run it at full you only need a cheapo system, so i'm sure you'll be able to run it (my little bro has a PCI GPU and that runs it fine lol)
If you want a quick look at what it looks like check this out! (Push the Driver) http://youtube.com/watch?v=qFt81NJdyiA ------------------------------ AMD Phenom 9600 Black Edition ATI RADEON HD 4870 4GB DDR2 RAM MSI K9A2 Platinum 1TB/1000GB Hard Drive space Windows 7 (RTM/Build 7600)x64 |

I've been tough on DPL's "cartoony" graphics, but the gameplay is Driver all the way. The on foot targeting needs some polishing up, but if I had a choice between only GTA:SA (waaayyy too cartoony for me, and oversaturated colors too) and Driver: Parallel Lines, I'd pick this game any day to play, the roads, traffic and most important, driving physics are far superior to the simplistic driving mechanics of the GTA series (GTA4 being the most improved, but still can't touch Driver's vehicle controls IMO).
-------------- Next Driver: Interior DASH view, Free Roam TAG MODE chases, Miles of Backroads, Intense Speed-Edge of your seat Action, MAJOR Crash Impacts, day/night cycle, tons of customizable options, lots of stunts, ON FOOT in FPS view/overthe shoulder RE4 style, sportbikes, more car camera views, "Drop a RAMP" Cheat, fun vehicle chases where THE CAR is the Weapon, not a gun... |

I play Crysis on Very High so I think im good there
I have been sort of against single-player only games since I got Assassins Creed, but loved free roaming in GTA3+Driv3r. Is DPL replayable and fun enough to make it last weeks and weeks on end? And can you play on 2 different computers without anything being blocked(CD-key wise)? I know my brother will want to play this game, we both love free-roam driving games. I wouldn't call the GTA franchise as being 'the video game franchise' at the center of cartoon-styled graphics. If you look back at a title like Freedom Fighters, this has some of the worst textures a game could ever feature on a last-gen console. Besides, the textures of Driver: Parallel Lines and GTA:SA were both pretty similar, so I'd consider not one being better than the other. The PS2 versions look good, but the Xbox version of GTA:SA and the PC version of DPL look great. Even the graphics of GTA III and GTA:VC on the Xbox look spectacular (if you compare the textures of the vehicles, characters, and roads of the PS2 versions and PC versions to the Xbox versions). Either way, GTA IV looks better than a lot of games in this generation so far, and possibly D4/D5 will make the same thing possible. Without a doubt, both franchises are beginning to see closer and closer to what movies have been able to do in crime fiction, so I certainly think that it is all coming along well and much better, thanks mostly to the advancing technology of the Xbox 360 & the PS3. |

Its a great game in its own way I personally look at Driver as a game in its own genre (although there is a new game joining the genre soon called 'you are the wheelman' - basically a Driver ripoff, but apparently it'll be great!) if your system can play crysis @ VH then i'm sure you can pretty much play anything, because no consoles performance can compare to a PC which'll play that game, and most games of course are developed to work on consoles too, so no worry there and if you like freeroaming games which can play online then I suggest searching for the Multi theft auto mod for GTA3 & VC or SAMP for GTASA (you can play with upto 200 gamers on SAMP) Driver PL is great for the missions (if you preferre Driving around) But if you'd preffere on foot action then Driver isn't (just yet) the kind of game that you should be looking to buy and as for the CD Key dont worry about that, its not an online game so obviously it can't do any CD Key checks PS: Nice system you have there, an its nice to see that you have Vista x64. ------------------------------ AMD Phenom 9600 Black Edition ATI RADEON HD 4870 4GB DDR2 RAM MSI K9A2 Platinum 1TB/1000GB Hard Drive space Windows 7 (RTM/Build 7600)x64 |

(post is off-topic)
Yeah, people say Vista sucks. They are just jumping on the band wagon with the other computer newbies, acting "cool". In my mind, "stupid". I think I might just wait on BiA-Hell's Highway to come out, but I don't know. Hey, do you know if GTA:SA Second Edition is the one without that..."mini-game" that made some stores sell it as Adults Only? Now I know that it has multiplayer, Im sort of leaning towards that. I think Im going to play it safe and still go against single-player only games Stealthzerty -------------------------- Far Cry 3:Welcome to Vegas |

Dont worry about the second edition because there is a "downgrade" patch for it on the web (just google GTASA downgrade patch) if you are getting it to play online then try and make 2 installs of the game (1 for mods and 1 for online mode) The mods for GTASA are brill (I hope they allow big mods in the new DrIVer game!) When I say DPL is far better in terms of roads and vehicle control compared to GTA:SA, first, you can see it in the design of the roads themselves. In GTA:SA, the roads are very narrow, with sharp edges for turns. In DPL, they actually curve, and offer enough width so you have room to work with, like on a real road. GTASA's roads are like driving down a toy street as cars "putt putt" around, like you're playing a kids game or something (Simpsons Hit and Run), and the cars don't have enough weight to them. For the driving, GTA:SA instantly responds to your input, like a toy car would, while DPL's vehicles respond, but are affected by weight and momentum first, resulting in a more realistic physics model, even better than what's in GTA4 in my opinion. Graphics-wise, DPL is far less saturated than GTA:SA, which bleeds colors especially during sunset, and unlike earlier games in the series, there's no way to reduce color saturation, other than manually adjusting you TV set for one game. |
