Personally I'd like Calgary, AB, Canada because we're cool! We have trains that are awesome to ride XD! San Deigo too, warm, has a huge beach and would be awsome to drive boats in. Also anotehr good city that isn't used much is Jersey City or maybe Philly for the gangs and maybe riding the trains in Philly too. A Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air parody could fit.
I was DrIvEr KiD on Atari so if you remember me, tell me who you were lol. |

Well, Jersey City was in D:PL. So, let's have New York City again so we can go out to Jersey City at any time (just like in D:PL). Philadelphia is a good city for trains. I have been there before and you'll find a lot of cool trains there. If the next Driver game goes back to the 70s, Philly should definetly be in there (especially if set in 1976). It's also a good city for trucks, ships, boats, and cars. Calgary? OK, never been there, but I did hear that the General Motors Locomotive works is there (another good train city, maybe). San Diego should be in there. It should've been in Driv3r after Jones said "You know it ain't gonna stop here, where next? San Diego?... Miami?..." in Driver 2. It's also the only major Californian city (on the Coastline) that hasn't made it into a Driver game. "New York is the coolest place in the world! From Connecticut and Long Island to New Jersey, from the Hudson Valley down to Staten Island, and all points in between, this is my backyard."-Driverman2006 |

Calgary is great for trains because it has 2 or 3 major yards since it's home to the Canadian Pacific Railway. NY would be good again except with a way more realistic road map, better road textures and actually make New Jersey have it's own police force, because in D:PL it was the NYPD. Also Eaglewood should be Inglewood.

I agree, they should make a 100% map accurate New York this time. And New Jersey and Connecticut should be in there too with different traffic laws/regulations than New York, as well as different law enforcement vehicles. And I'm not sure what you mean about Eaglewood, but what I do know is that in D:PL, the map is so screwed up, that the George Washington Bridge crosses from The Bronx into Englewood, NJ. In the real world, The George Washington Bridge crosses from Harlem/Washington Heights into Ft. Lee, NJ. "New York is the coolest place in the world! It would be WAY cool if Ubisoft-Reflections could model everything from Boston to Washington D.C. This way we could have cities like Boston, MA; Providence, RI; New Haven, CT; New York, NY; Philadelphia, PA; Baltimore, MD; and Washington D.C., and all other cities and towns in between! And we could have Interstate 95 and Route 1 connect the places together as major roadways and the Northeast Corridor mainline as a major railroad route connecting the places together. This would be awesome if they could model the whole Bos-wash area of the world! It would be over 400 miles of awesomeness (if "Awesomeness" is even a word)! If they did this, it should be called "Driver: The Northeast Corridor", implying that the whole Northeastern United States from Boston to Washington D.C. would be in there and that both automobile and train lovers will enjoy this game! Add the town of Arbutus in Baltimore area, thats where I live
Baltimore would be awsome cause there is lots of crime here (gives it some action) and cause it has lots of good scenery |

Here are my wishes for cities (as of now). I have 3 main options that I would like Reflections to pick (at least one)
Option 1: Set in the present day in: New York, NY, USA Chicago, ILL, USA Las Vegas, NV, USA Los Angeles, CA, USA San Diego, CA, USA San Francisco, CA, USA Option 2: Set in the present day in: New York, NY, USA Toronto, ON, CA London, England Option 3: Set in 1976 in: Philadelphia, PA, USA I'd like to see one of these options fully completed in the next Driver game. And I would only want Anglican countries in the future of the Driver series. Having places that are not in Anglican countries (those that speak English and have a resemblance to the UK) is bad. If you want non-Anglican countries, play James Bond. This is Driver, Driver's vibe (cities, music, etc) is not the same as the James Bond vibe (cities, music, etc). No wonder why most people hated the Driv3r vibe, it felt too much like James Bond and not like D:PL. And as an American, I thank the UK for making my country (and region of the USA) a lot like their's! I love speaking, reading, and writing in English and listening to British rock music! I recently had an idea for how we should help become more familiar and sure of what city or cities are right for the next Driver game. To do this, we should look at as many of the different cities of U.S.A. and other countries as well. Then, maybe we'll find the right city for the game. And you're probably wondering why look at the other cities besides just the U.S. It's because Reflections can find more ideas and maybe they could find the perfect cities for the game. Limiting it to the U.S. is silly. Of course, the Driver franchise will likely be better when situated in the U.S., but even as I support this opinion, we should still try to look past at other cities.
If you remember correctly one of the old topics, back on the Atari Forums, about D3 or DPL, that was about ideas for cities, you'll see a similarity as to how this topic should be handled. "If you are to only stick to what is there, you'll never be at the top." |

Well, as I said before. The Driver series should only stay in the UK-inspired countries (as I said in my last post). You know what? I would not mind at all if they could have a very detailed English city (like London, York, Newcastle, Oxford, etc). It would look really good, and Reflections could make it without any trouble since they're in England (Newcastle). But then again, we also have Ubisoft in America (San Francisco) and they could make a really good American city. Right on USA and UK!
Now, I have a prediction of what city will be included in the next Driver game (at least one of them). It will probably be San Francisco because the HQ is there. And that was one reason why D:PL was set in New York. It's because the Atari HQ is there. And the Driver series is with Ubisoft now. Could this be a clue for the next Driver game's setting?... It isn't thought of as enough to me when considering to look at english-speaking countries because there might even be some other cities out there, in the world, that can really fit a game great. For instance, I'll make a suggestion that because Hong Kong films are perhaps some of the best films in China and even in the world, I don't see why we can't have a game's setting be in Hong Kong. It is one of the richest cities in China, so I think it would do well.
What you have to realize that too many games try to be focused on the most popular countries in the world. There needs to be a better look at all the cities in the world. Therefore, I hope that we can go from discussing U.S. cities and those of other main english-speaking ones, to, eventually, discussing all the other parts of the world. Europe is perhaps the greatest continent because it's always been that way in the history of our world and with the European Union being the biggest economy in the world, there is no reason why other cities of the countries in Europe shouldn't be considered at all. Asia, too, to some extent, can be fit for a Driver game, if the world and the gameplay fit very well. The only problem would be that Reflections would need to spend more time researching on this continent's countries and their cities to get a good picture of what they need to fit exactly as they want for the next Driver game. This idea is very much like that of another topic at the Atari Forums that was based on thinking of cities for DPL, whose name, at first, wasn't found yet and was considered to be D4. With a topic like that of the Atari Forums, for this topic to be more expanded, I think that it would be more beneficial on giving Reflections ideas. And if you think about it, it's even educational and interesting to learn more about other countries that you don't know very much of. Its gonna be San Fransisco, I saw it in PSM yesterday

And how can you simply prove to me and the other Driver fans that this isn't just a joke? If this is true, what else can you confirm it says about the next Driver game? For all we know, this could even be just a rumor, coming from PSM.
