Sports cars are fine. Don't complain. There was also a muscle car too in case if you didn't notice. So I guess this means that it will be set in the present day. Thanks for sharing!Big Grin

I just can't keep myself from being on this forums! Maybe it's just better if I choose to be on less often, so then, I can at least make better progress with myself with more than just this habit of mine.

Anyways, I did visit the link. From what I've heard, after having gone to another video on BBC's website, it seems that the British Game Industry hasn't been doing so well. Perhaps this explains why so many British developers have failed miserably on trying to create a good game. It may give a further explanation as to why Ubisoft Reflections' staff hasn't been highly skilled enough in the past to make the Driver games actually turn out good, except for the first Driver game. As far as I'm concerned Codemasters, creators of the TOCA Touring Car series, the Colin McRae Rally series, Operation: Flashpoint, Dizzy series, and the Brian Lara Cricket Series is the best and most trustworthy British developer out there. It has made GRID as one of the biggest racing games ever to have come out. I'm in no ways as impressed by Ubisoft Reflections as much as I am with Codemasters.

And in another BBC video on that website, we see that the next Driver game WILL be on the XBOX 360.

And I also think that the on foot action will still be in the next Driver game according to what Gareth said about opening doors.

This most certainly has never had anything to do with the skill level of Ubisoft Reflections

Remember they presented us with Driver 1, 2 and only really screwed up a little tiny bit with Driv3r but I believe they still did an awesome job. (as I've said before I think they did better in certain elements)

But back on topic, Atari pushed them in the wrong direction and Ubisoft is smart enough to financially push them in the right direction.

Remember the new driver game is being created by the same development team that created all the previous driver titles, of course with some new employees.

Madness is right!!

Plus I just wanna add (Because i'm from the UK/England)
I agree that the schools, Universitys, ect dont teach people maths that well, but the people who are good with maths charge too much, and Atari didn't fund reflections enough to afford these staff!

Where as now UBI will give all of the needed funding for these required staff!

and I can see its already had a hugely positive impact, you can see that Gareth edmondson looks alot more confident and happy, and that is because they can afford to make the games that they've always dreamed of!!

So I just wanna thank UBI for buying the licencse of my fsvorite game series!

because I know they will make it Amazing!!

Thanx Guys!!

I think the car you see in the video looks vaguely like a 360 or TVR.

Finally some news? Great! Thanks for the links! That car looks well designed, licensing or not, which has always been something Reflections was good at. The details on the interior look nice, so an interior view is a MUST or else.

--------------
Next Driver: Interior DASH view, Free Roam TAG MODE chases, Miles of Backroads, Intense Speed-Edge of your seat Action, MAJOR Crash Impacts, day/night cycle, tons of customizable options, lots of stunts, ON FOOT in FPS view/overthe shoulder RE4 style, sportbikes, more car camera views, "Drop a RAMP" Cheat, fun vehicle chases where THE CAR is the Weapon, not a gun...

I really hope that the level/island detail is as nice as the Vehicle detail

I am slightly concerned because D3 had some parts (the odd 1 or 2 cars and buildings) which looked great, and then some that were just... Terrible...

in D:PL the details weren't too bad, I just hope that the smaller things in the next game aren't too overlooked... again...

I'm now just hoping that Reflections will give us a more in depth look at D4 at E3 later this month!!

Reflections sometimes gets caught up in all the details of recreating a city, when there's a great gameplay to be developed (which Driv3r kind of overlooked). In other words, don't forget to set more time for making a great game, as I'm sure Reflections is aware of.

1. Great vehicle chases/stunts/gameplay/controls
2. Tons of driving careers/missions/freeplay
3. Realistic Graphics/FX.

Remember there is a shortage of programmers in UK.
and gameplay type things are developed by programmers, artwork is developed by another team.

Those pics look preliminary, early models of the vehicles, not fully rendered and polished I'm guessing. I wish they had more to show. The character head looks good if that's in game.

I think the dash view will look solid if the model car is any indication.

Give us a scene from the game Ubisoft/Reflections! I searched, but does Reflections have their own website? Never found one.

Back in the old days Reflections Interactive used to have a website at http://www.reflectionsinteractive.com/

They no longer own this domain now.
But when they did have a site up it just contained a page with their logo on it. It was nothing too exciting. From what I can remember I think that was around 1999.

The team also used to have their own email accounts at this domain, for example gareth@reflectionsinteractive.com as they no longer own the domain it is not possible to use it to email the team Frown .

At the very least, it was nice that Reflections hosted that chat session for DPL back in 2006, answering some basic questions. I hope Reflections Interactive does something "Interactive" with the fans this time as well...
