Ubisoft are working on there next title which will be released in April, "Emergency Heroes".
It's another title produced by Ubisoft Reflections. Maybe this is why the announcement for the next driver title is taking so long. Unfortunately the game doesn't seem to much like the driver series. But appears to contain a more freeform style of gameplay from what I have read. See (below) for more information. http://palgn.com.au/article.php?id=10954&sid=a195a381e511cac12e4aea47a94f2ae8 http://au.wii.ign.com/articles/863/863251p1.html http://www.kotaku.com.au/games/2008/04/ubisoft_announce...eroes_for_wii-2.html So I hope you enjoy this amazing announcement! Feel free to discuss this as much as you can in here! EDIT: removed April fools joke! This message has been edited. Last edited by: driver_madness, |

This is truly great news, finally Reflections long hard work is revealed for eager fans. And then you show me "Emergency Heroes" for the wii...
But really, can you get out of your vehicle and walk around, cause if you can't, I wouldn't buy it, even if I had a nintendo wii, which I don't. -------------- Next Driver: Free Roam TAG MODE chases, DRIVING CAREERS, Intense Speed, Edge of your seat Action, MAJOR Crash Impacts, Interior Dash view, day/night cycle, tons of customizable options, lots of stunts, ON FOOT in FPS view/overthe shoulder RE4 style, sportbikes, more car camera views, "Drop a RAMP" Cheat, intense, fun vehicle chases where THE CAR is the Weapon, not a gun... |

Looks really really stupid if you ask me. It looks like a kid's game to me. Despite the content rating, I guess I'll buy it, only if the price on it is low.
Do you think this game might have a bonus video in the pause menu that will be a preview to the next Driver game? In Stuntman 1, there's a short video in the front-end menu of Driv3r being shown for the first time as a preview of Driv3r. One thing I don't like about it (according to the announcement) is that it will take place in a fictional place. I want real places in any driving game. San Alto isn't a real city. It looks somewhat like a city in Southern California (like Los Angeles or San Diego). I hope this isn't a "Sign" that of where the next Driver game will take place (being in a fictional place). Also, I really dont like the cars from the screen shots we see. They look a bit to far out there and just look way to futeristic. Also, E10+ hmm meens not as much violence or swearing ( all the makings of a good shooting/driving game). Perhaps they were trying to get away from the GTA type of game. But this is to far away. They are making a game that is not even T and that in my mind is just not right I also do not want to be driving around in a fake place. It sceems that they just left the total idea of the orginal driver behind and started from scratch. Lets hopw that is is ALOT better than it looks. I for one am very dissopointed by this one from what I have sceen so far.

maybe they are still copying R*, think about it, R* leeds made GTA LCS, which was the biggest step backwards ever... but, ive always thought that is a place they put their new staff in training and if they are good enough, then they move to R* North, which i think UbiReflections are following the footprints still.
so hopefully my dream would be to see UR (UBI,Reflections) to stop copying and start innovating new ideas and products if you agree then please post, then maybe UR will start to think of their ideas and not copy other peoples... UPDATE: well i have just looked at the pics and now i am actually getting scared and wishing atari kept the Driver series because UR seems to have ruined the whole team behind the Driver series, and although i hate Atari, well look at Stuntman, now that was brilliant in my opinion and that also shown us roughly what the Driv3r Graphics would look like and the vehicles would handle like, now if this is anything to go by then, my favorite game series of all time has just been ruined... i am now starting to feel a bit upset because i used to love the addrenaline i got from a driver game, and now it just wont be the same anymore. GoodBye Tanner, im gonna miss you... its a shame that Atari Sold you out, but i hope to see you in the next life one day ------------------------------ AMD Phenom 9600 Black Edition ATI RADEON HD 3870 512mb 4GB DDR2 1066MHz 500GB HDD space Vista Home Premium x64 |

Did you see the trailer?! Ram Raider is in it! lol. http://youtube.com/watch?v=Tt2yuUCzHIY

Yeah the DPL NYPD car was in it too, good use of a fairly generic cop car XD Anyways, I might try that game just to see how bad it is lol. I do have to say, in a few scenes that police car (futuristic looking one) riminted me on the Zenda from PL. EDIT: If you pause at the part of the Ram Raider scene where it's close to the camera, you can barely make out "New York" on the plate. T.K.'s been on the move! lol I was DrIvEr KiD on Atari so if you remember me, tell me who you were lol. |

That's cool that 2 D:PL cars made a comeback.

well it still looks very studid to much like a childs game. 7+? Soo that meen what no swearing? No violence? This looks like its going to suck. I really wish that atari kep the game. Because now the game is just going to be screwed up.
Bust also, could it be possible that maybe another one is in the works to the Xbox and PS's. They have only said that this one will be for WII. Maybe another one is in the works ( a better one) for the othey systems |

Well Midnight Club 3 was rated E10+, and that was still a good game. But I agree, if was T or M rated, I think it would be better. "New York is the coolest place in the world! i dont think the rating makes much difference
because it still looks like they have ruined the name of driver why couldn't they just make something as successful as stuntman 1 (by the way i am aware of THQ buying the stuntman game/name lol) ------------------------------ AMD Phenom 9600 Black Edition ATI RADEON HD 3870 512mb 4GB DDR2 1066MHz 500GB HDD space Vista Home Premium x64 |

Looks like DPL set in the future, anime style. Not too bad, a bit cheesy at the end. Worth a look if it's also on PS2.
Reflections didn't develop it, did they? NOWHERE does it say "DRIVER" in the title.
Actually, THQ is abandoning the Stuntman series due to lacking big sales. -------------- Next Driver: Free Roam TAG MODE chases, DRIVING CAREERS, Intense Speed, Edge of your seat Action, MAJOR Crash Impacts, Interior Dash view, day/night cycle, tons of customizable options, lots of stunts, ON FOOT in FPS view/overthe shoulder RE4 style, sportbikes, more car camera views, "Drop a RAMP" Cheat, intense, fun vehicle chases where THE CAR is the Weapon, not a gun... |

lol well it is THQ that were talking about lol
whenever i see a game of thiers i always think twice before buying it where as id preferre games which i would be confident in buying without thinking i had been ripped off lol oh and 1 more thing you may notice i had typed stuntman *1* not the series that was successsful ------------------------------ AMD Phenom 9600 Black Edition ATI RADEON HD 3870 512mb 4GB DDR2 1066MHz 500GB HDD space Vista Home Premium x64 |

Stuntman 1 did good in sales enough to make part 2. The only thing about stuntman, it didn't offer enough freedom to go anywhere you wanted.
This game, Emergency Heroes(EH) gives that freedom, but from the look of it, no option to go on foot. More than likely, I'll pass on it for GTA4, and hopefully Driv4r in the next year or two... |

Looking over the new game i noticed somthing. This looks like a rip off of the Rescue Heros show. Just looks very simmilar

It's definitely a departure from the Driver series, but I wouldn't take that to mean Reflections aren't working on other games too. Nothing to announce yet though.

thanx for responding to this topic
and it sounds interesting, BUT... i think Reflections may need a little kick up the rear just look at Driv3r, they had put too much effort into the storyline and cutscene, when they should of put most of their budget into developing the cities the vehicles and the Gameplay but, i have got to say, they did do a better job with Driver PL, but maybe they could do a bit better next time hey ------------------------------ AMD Phenom 9600 Black Edition ATI RADEON HD 3870 512mb 4GB DDR2 1066MHz 500GB HDD space Vista Home Premium x64 |
