This is just a note aimed at the reflections staff!

Well I have just come across a video with another video games producer,

and I think that every single word should be what you are pretty much going to be saying when you are getting ready to release the next Driver game!

Heres the link to that video interview
(Its in HD by the way)

Thanks for the link. The next Driver won't be ready for quite a while, at least another year is most likely.

I'll be surprised if NFS Undercover is released this year without a delay.

--------------
Next Driver: Interior DASH view, Free Roam TAG MODE chases, Miles of Backroads, Intense Speed-Edge of your seat Action, MAJOR Crash Impacts, day/night cycle, tons of customizable options, lots of stunts, ON FOOT in FPS view/overthe shoulder RE4 style, sportbikes, more car camera views, "Drop a RAMP" Cheat, fun vehicle chases where THE CAR is the Weapon, not a gun...

The reason that I posted this link is because almost everything he said was in NFSUC would be great in a Driver game

and their focus seems to be everything that reflections should focus on!

Good (extremely large) video. I only watched about half before I got bored of it. The jist I got was action packed car chases, and I'd have to agree with that. The last few Driver games haven't been action packed, they've been action oriented.

My only gripe with NFS is the no damage thing, and I know it has to do with licensing the cars, but it just looks SOO bad when a car flips or head-ons a wall at 150 and nothing happens, so bad I won't play it anymore.

Good point, the car looks like a toy car when no crumpling or breaking occurs when flipping over or crashing.

Without persistent cops, like in DPL, the chase is rarely intense or exciting, as you're mainly driving around, going slower so the cops can keep up. So yes to better chases.

According to the team at Black Box (EA) they are having damage in the new NFSUC game
(Like they did in Pro Street... although Pro Streets genral gameplay was pretty cr*p so I wouldn't suggest buying it - it was just driving around race tracks without cop chases and intense action...)

But as I originally said,

EAs focus with NFSUC seems to be exactly the focus that Reflections should have on the Driver games,

Maybe its a whole different game, but the general ideas of being an undercover guy chasing one person while being chased yourself by cops seems very intense in a way that Driver should be,

I hope that NFSUC (and D4) Focuses on making the character that you play as "Cool" and not a character that cares about everything...

I would like to see tanner being that undercover cop that doesn't give a cr*p about anything but getting the job done again, and the general (Kinda) arragacance that Tanner had in D1 in my opinion was one of the things that gave him that cool sort of personality

I think that many of the characters who dont give a sh*t about anything are usually the ones that people like to play as.

Tanner was cool, but his police work missions in Driv3r don't have any real impact on offering an intriguing storyline. I'm no expert, but maybe tie in an overall underlying reason he's doing one last police investigation, maybe to save his son's life, or his girlfriend or something that gives him more character than just wasting time trying to take down a bunch of nobody drug-gangs like in Driv3r. He's a bit too monotone, but he does have a level of cool even so.

I think Reflections will either keep Tanner or reinvent him with the same name. Or maybe just move on from the entire Tanner thing and into the next phase for a fresh start.

I wouldn't want that to happen... not yet anyway... it all depends on what they do with him in D4

I'm sure that they'll use him in D4 because you may have heard that you can see the hint in the "Cop Shop" of DPL
