Should Driver 5 rehash the old gameplay with new graphics, or create a whole new type of driving gameplay not found anywhere else?
I played Stuntman Ignition and couldn't take that "Do this, go there gameplay". There's no freedom to just enjoy the drive IMO. Hopefully, Driver 5 won't have missions that are too restrictive. -------------- Next Driver: Interior DASH view, Free Roam TAG MODE chases, Miles of Backroads, Intense Speed-Edge of your seat Action, MAJOR Crash Impacts, day/night cycle, tons of customizable options, lots of stunts, ON FOOT in FPS view/overthe shoulder RE4 style, sportbikes, more car camera views, "Drop a RAMP" Cheat, fun vehicle chases where THE CAR is the Weapon, not a gun... |

Missions should be very restrictive in the way they focus on the main plot of the story.
Yet, there should be different paths you can take, some where it's not all about driving skill it's about using your mind, thinking about the possible outcomes. Or maybe there are a couple of ways you can end a certain mission. Unfortunately it'll be too hard to do something similar to the game Farenhight. Where your action will change the outcome of the entire story since driver is mainly based on pre-rendered cutscenes and creating such a variety would cost too much money. Unless there where done a little bit around the middle and the end of the story with the same outcome at the end of the game. Of course there must be a Take A Ride like mode =D |

Whatever it is, I DON'T want a front-end menu again. D:PL's open-world structure is fine, cool, and addicting. So the "Take-a-ride" mode should be your free time between missions and side missions (just like in D:PL). "New York is the coolest place in the world! From Connecticut and Long Island to New Jersey, from the Hudson Valley down to Staten Island, and all points in between, this is my backyard."-Driverman2006 |

Yeah, personally I prefer both ways.
But the Film Director is harder to work with when you have no front-end. However they could use a button combination to start and stop recording your in game action. or the menu there should be a start recording button and then when you finish you pause and stop recording :P |

Good idea and not really that difficault. I think there should be one front end menu for different options before u start but none of the take a ride buttons or load game option that can be done once in the game. I like open-structure because theres less loading time. All i ask from driver is that it was personality i dont feel like i know the characters well in Max Payne for instance it lets u right into his world and understand his thoughts, I alo liked the complicated dialoge and use of metephores to give a certain emotion into the sentance. |

Free Ride in the sense you can ride anywhere when not doing missions, which better suits a day/night cycle, like in DPL.
Missions need a lot more variety this time, but should also be fun, so if you lose track of a really fast car, you can immediately choose to exit the mission and continue to roam the city, rather than being forced to start over or quit the game like in Driver 1. But choosing your own way to complete each mission will help, I agree. |
