Thanks.
Ever since I had a scanner installed to my computer I been scanning all sorts of things. Pictures,drawings,.... Is Devil May Cry 4 out? Yes! Now what does Dante say?..Oh..LET'S ROCK BABY! |

I like all of those features too. Like having all vehicles operable, great cities, and Tanner back too. Exactly everything I had in mind.
In fact Slayer_591, you're a very good artist. You should maybe go work in the video game industry, and then all of the graphics in the games you make will be amazing. I'd hire ya for sure if I was the president of a video game company. "New York is the coolest place in the world! Nice drawing sketch. I didn't see any motorcycles in the picture... Yeah, hopefully Tanner or an equally cool character will be the Driver in Driver 5 (4?). -------------- Next Driver: Interior DASH view, Free Roam TAG MODE chases, Miles of Backroads, Intense Speed-Edge of your seat Action, MAJOR Crash Impacts, day/night cycle, tons of customizable options, lots of stunts, ON FOOT in FPS view/overthe shoulder RE4 style, sportbikes, more car camera views, "Drop a RAMP" Cheat, fun vehicle chases where THE CAR is the Weapon, not a gun... |

Well her cover said that you could drive anything. So I'm guessing that Slayer_591 wants bikes. Right Slayer_591?

You got that right!!I'm always about bikes.
Well I think I might draw another DrIVer cover. I'm currently drawing a ''V for Vendetta'' sketch and there when I'm done with that.I'll draw another one.Maybe even with Tanner(if I could find a picutre of him up close) and a close up view of a few cars.=) Is Devil May Cry 4 out? Yes! Now what does Dante say?..Oh..LET'S ROCK BABY! |

I would like to make a suggestion Slayer_591. Save yourself some time by making the cover a collage of pictures (instead of drawing them). I also recommend you try getting pictures of every kind of vehicle (like one car, one bike, one train, one plane, and one boat) because you said that you can drive anything in your cover. Plus, don't forget Tanner (and other characters you want to see). Just some ideas, you don't have to do all of them, it's just that these ideas I think will make a great cover, good luck!

Just changing the topic a bit.
But I finally got the dpl-list released. I think I'll create a full topic about it even though it doesn't fit into the Handheld forum category forum. Anyways as I said the DPL-List is released and if you want to read more information about it Click Here If you want to directly visit the dpl-list Click Here |

Well well, I just stumbled upon a video of one of the craziest looking games ever, it looks like Driver 1 mixed with Burnout, only problem is its German, which means I'll probably never get to play it. Anyway, its called "Alarm Fur Cobra 11: Nitro" and looks like its based on a German TV show from other videos I saw. We need the show and videogame over here in America. Anyway, heres a link to a video of the game, from there its easy to find videos of the show, which are even more awesome:

It looks somewhat impressive, but I don't really think that the game will surpass Burnout or even the Driver games, with it being too similar to them.

I agree it probably won't surpass the games in sales, its a game based on a TV show, how good can it be. Plus its German and probably very little chance of seeing it over here seeing as the show is not here in the states either.
But what I was getting at is that it looks to combine the elements of both games pretty well, the cars obviously are going very fast, and there are spectacular crashes, although not to the physics level of Driver. This is where Reflections comes in, take a look at the video, get whatever you can from it, and put some action back in Driver. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Go outside! Hey, I know that show! Cobra 11 is a very cool German TV-show. It's about two homicide cops who're also in control of whatever happens on the Autobahn.

Yes, Reflections should definitely look and learn from this game. Heck, they should try to be learning from many other driving games as well as games from other genres if they are willing to create a big experience for both driving and free-roam. I assume that Rockstar North doesn't look only at one genre. In order for them to be that good at their games, they must put quite some work into looking at games of multiple genres and that is what has helped them build together great things for the GTA games. One thing I know that they did was look at the RPG genre and then use what they know to put together an RPG system for San Andreas. That's probably how they got the idea of RPG elements for the game. Reflections can learn a lot from what elements would do great, which were previously found in other genres. I hope that Reflections will start looking more at many different genres after having read this. |

So do I, AM1. I think everybody wants the next Driver game to be a lot better.

If you think about it, Reflections can influence us a little more into playing other Video game genres that are out there. I know for one that I am not only interested in the free-roaming or driving genres. I have also had great moments with games like The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay (is perhaps the best hollywood movie-based game), Final Fantasy VII (I played it on the PC), God of War (have played the demo), The Lord of the Rings: Two Towers video game, Tony Hawk's Underground, Gears of War, Halo 2, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Black, and many others.
I see no reason for why anyone should miss out on the other genres and their great games. When you devote yourself to a company and its console(s), you should be looking for every possible way of making the experience great whether by online gaming, playing the best games, or even for trying out the genres that you've never come to know well. |

For me, I'm not so much into videogames anymore as I used to be. Rather than buying new games, I would rather get some games for my Super Nintendo, though the only ones I've found in pawn shops are a whole bunch of sports games, which I'm not interested in really (unless it was an extra in a Driver or GTA game)
So for me, I'd rather just get one or a few games that cover the bases, if I'm gonna get anything at all. I keep thinking about buying an Xbox 360 or PS3, but then I'd rather spend the time I would've on videogames to get better at guitar. I'll still get a few videogames here and there, but my games consoles are becoming increasingly for movie watching. And that doesn't bother me really, which is weird considering when I was a kid, I could never see how I would ever stop playing videogames til the day I die. Not that I won't, I'll just play a lot less, games seem to be becoming increasingly less fun year by year. I do want to play other games, but everytime I do, they just end up getting boring faster and faster. Except Guitar Hero. I guess I'm more into party games now. Too bad we wore out the discs for both 1+2. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Go outside! Do something, get off your ass! |

Demo Discs let players test genre games they may have never played otherwise. I see Sony completely dropped their Playstation Magazine. XBox 360 offers a demo disc every month with their magazine, or you can download them free through Xbox Live Marketplace. My favorite genres used to be adventure, RPG, fighting, driving, action. Open City games capture a bit of each genre, depending on the game, while at the same time opening up a large map to explore. |

Well exploring new territory, much like new genres of gaming, is a very interesting way to go. There is a wide variety of different genres for Video games and if Rockstar North or Reflections are ever able to fit the best elements of every genre into their games, it would be simply the most brilliant thing ever.
It's a shame that no one else, but I have ever considered focusing on multiple genres for when working in the Video Gaming Industry. If you are to try to learn every genre, why not have yourself focus on every genre? The fact that it has never been done does not say that it is impossible for someone to accomplish. And imagine what huge things one would do if going through one game and moving onto an even bigger concept within a new genre that was not previously worked on. Now, that is really something that I would love to see from someone. Just one shot with one genre and a concept that drives other developers to focus on similar things, and then having yourself just move onto another genre to try to tackle even bigger concepts. This feels very much like a journey, where you would go from one village/town/city to the next and from there, go even further. If I am able to accomplish such great lengths in the Video Game Industry, it would push Video games to the ultimate level and many more people would join in as being gamers and maybe even would consider to try to work as hard as I had dreamed of working in the first place. My believe is that dreams will come true if they are not broken, meaning that you must not take your eyes of it. And I will try to work as far as I ever could imagine if I don't see that myself accomplishing them from the state of being that I am right now. |

GTA is a multigenre game, so looks like you weren't the first to think of it.
And if you mean one developer doing two different genre projects, Criterion did Black and Burnout, both very succesful games, different genres. Theres got to be others, but I don't feel like researching. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Go outside! Do something, get off your ass! |
