Well many of us all said recently that we want an In car View and I believe we may just get one!!!

If you want to see where I am coming from, look at the DrIVer videos on the BBC report and you'll see that they're putting detailed components inside the vehicle for the first time, and the only games that I have ever seen with the interior being that detailed are games with an interior view!.

Driver is now starting to look like its going to become what I have always wanted!!.

I've always thought that the Driver games needed the in car view

Don't get your hopes up!
There is a chance these vehicles where designed for FMVs or solely for concept. Most games have usually excluded this view due to technical reasons. That's why in driv3r and many other driving games or games that feature driving have 2d paper-thin steering wheels.

But with the introduction of 7th generation consoles this is possible, but at the sacrifice of removing other gameplay/graphical elements. I do feel reflections feel that it is important to include a dashboard view and we will probably will see something like what we seen in the video.

Hopefully not just an in car view, but full and unintercepted 1st person view. Other views still kept and togglable.

Halo3
-I see legs, hands, vision blurriness.
Oblivion, Bioshock
-Charachter staggers and moves head and vision.
Test Drive Unlimited
-Ability to turn head, interact with windows and such.

So you are the guy, when you enter a car your vision is just like in real life. Of course dependant of action, casual when no danger, and rushed jump in when in hurry.

Warning: Everything above is an opinion
The show must go on
What is this Splinter Cell you talk about?

That may take a little too much time and effort

but I like the suggestion of the ability to turn your head (while in the Driving seat)

On TDU (Test Drive Unlimited) and Race Driver: GRiD (RDG) I tend to use the head camera movement feature to look in my rear view mirror to see whose behind and how far they are!

Maybe, but views and charachters have been total Lego blocks in past.

3rd person in Driv3r, barely standable, 1st person, yuck yuck. Sometimes I just enter and exit vehicle constantly to see the 1st person view in vehicle for a second. Yay I have a great life.

I'm just voicing my dreams, they have to start somewhere. I even forgot one; Radio, lit dashboard and even TV screens with shows.

Turning head is a must, motorcycling in 1st person is impossible without it.

I agree, BUT... I believe that they would have to start working on that from the off... so we'll have to wait for Driver 5 before we'll see that

I think its...kinda... obvious that they've gotton pretty far through the development proccess of DrIVer (4) because the cars are *1* of the last things that they would develop
Which is partly due to the fact that they need to design the cars to suit the area and year that the game is based in (and if you have seen the BBC videos you'll see that they have finished developing one of the cars, and they were just testing that it works properly!)

Yeah!!

I just hope that they dont F**K it up this time like they did with D3,

If you look at D3 you'll notice that one of its biggest issues were the bugs/technical issues

I just hope that everything will be fixed before release this time!

also If you look at Driver PL on PS2 and PC though you'll notice that there is less issues on the PC version (and I think thats because UBI have higher standards than Atari)

Which may explain that the new Driver will have 99% of its issues fixed before release!! YAaaay!!

Well it's a pretty hard area to investigate.
Sure Driv3r was glitched filled, but many people still liked it. Unfortuantly the pc version was worse than the console releases. But still had it's better elements.

A magazine that I used to purchase a lot gave the PC version of DRIV3R a 4/10 and obviously gave it a bad review.

They even make up stuff to make the game look badder than it already is (Which is quite annoying.

Well once a year the magazine makes a massive poll where people vote for all their faviourite driver games and the top 100 get listed. This includes all pc games from anytime.

Driver 3 made it to 40th. Nobody could belieave it! Many people must have thought it was great fun!

I agree with them that Driv3r is fun... But I think that there is too many negetive people on this forum!!

and when one persons negetive... they drag everyone else down with them Frown

I just wished that the people who hated Driver would just stay away from the forums!!

Right on! That would be great. Test Drive Unlimited doesn't let you step out of the car or off the bike, but you can look around inside, at your arms and legs. The more options to adjust the interior view to fit your liking, the better the experience of an in-dash view will be.

This generation has proven it's possible, so it would be a HUGE mistake for Reflections if they didn't include this view, in addition to the important front hood, top hood, and other 3rd person views of the vehicles. The view I would use the least if I had all these new views to pick from? The distant car view, but that's all we've gotten so far in the Driver series besides the First person (blank view of the road, no parts of the car visible, which is blah.)

--------------
Next Driver: Interior DASH view, Free Roam TAG MODE chases, Miles of Backroads, Intense Speed-Edge of your seat Action, MAJOR Crash Impacts, day/night cycle, tons of customizable options, lots of stunts, ON FOOT in FPS view/overthe shoulder RE4 style, sportbikes, more car camera views, "Drop a RAMP" Cheat, fun vehicle chases where THE CAR is the Weapon, not a gun...
