Haha... check out the Bi-1 take-off inside hangars... at the end of the runway you have obstacles so you have to fly over them but not too high or you will hit the hangar roof Big Grin .
I noticed that 60% throttle works best... as you gain speed in Bi-1 like mad, and that rocket interceptor has tendency to "nose-up" quickly which isn't exactly healthy when you fly inside hangars Big Grin .
And the speed effect is just awesome Thumbs Up .

I did that mission on "realistic" settings without time alterations.
It isn't as hard once you get the necessary feeling Smile .

For those who may not have been teased into trying this campaign, a track of a mission:

A track of the final mission

I flew my campaign with external on, made this track just now and also had cockpit off, but don't think that matters much. Having externals of course is a great help.

I'm looking forward to doing those missions. Too tired right now, I'll have to try later. But after landing the I-16 and taxiing to that hangar for a success I decide to turn around and try a take-off but my manually-raised gear did'nt quite clear those tanks in time and I bit the big one real bad.

Here... since it is fictitious campaign, no nationality, I created a special folder "NN" which represents campaigns that aren't bound to some particular air force.

Pic;

Here is inside of "NN" folder;

...it's a copy/paste work from .zip you just downloaded to here Smile .
You see the rest of (graphic & text) files?
I just copied those from Hungarian campaign, it doesn't really matter which one you copy here because it is fictitious anyway.

If you can find some custom fictitious medals/ranks for download, the better. Just put them here Thumbs Up .

Here is how I did it step by step:
Download it from mission4today (of course)
find it in My Documents and double click on it.
Then:
- Extract all files
- Browse
- My Computer
- C: drive
- program files
- ubisoft
- IL2 Sturmovik
- missions
- Single
- OK on extract prompt

then find Full MIssion Builder in the game.
then:
- File
- Load
- Single(Double click)
- For Good Pilots
- File
- Play

Of course you can ALSO install it so that it plays as a normal campaign.

The obvious advantage of Full Mission Builder is that if you get stuck (and everyone does at some point in this campaign) you can skip a mission you are have trouble with and come back to it later Smile

I geuss I should have put it into a campaign then. But I am honorable. I have flown each mission in accordance with the intsructions given and unmolested.. I cussed alot, but I did it. But, wow. Those missions are really extraordinare.

This guy is good.
I mean that one with the N1K1 that must make 12 landings; that terrain is good, and I had never landed a B-25 on a carrier but now I can. This is some really impressive stuff for me. I was getting bored with IL2 until now. But this download has forced me to fly planes I had never flown before, and it has shown me stuff I didnt think possible in the game.

Indeed ... and not one mission involves shooting in combat.

I stopped at the b-25 carrier mission. i can land it with ease, touchdown with 190kph, a little rudder here and there with brakes and I'm done, but then slowly taxi to the other end of the deck, turn around, and try to take off. Argh. I mean, if I could just SPAWN on the deck and take off in another mission I'd be done with it already, but it's just too much of a chore to have to go through the landing and taxiing and turning around the carrier every time just to crash on landing again. Most speed I had when I left the deck was 120kmh methinks.

Yeah that was tough. but I was able to get it stopped, taxi all the way back to the other end and there I put in chocks, cranked er up to full throttle then released chocks and I went to full flaps as I was rolling out and I put the gear up just when I cleared then end.

yeah but I sure got shot the heck-up in that D3 by AAA in that pain in the butt mission, and there was a good bridge attack mission in the Tempest using rockets.

Should I use FULL flaps for the B-25 takeoff? Because I only used take off flaps, thought the full flaps would keep me from picking up sufficient speed after I leave the deck. I also deploy flaps only after I reach 100kph at the very end of the runway.

Yes, thats how I did it. I released chocks and about half way down the deck or at about next to the tower I just hit my flaps button a bunch of times until they were on there way to landing flaps and I was able to take off with engines going full throttle.

There is night/day difference between using flaps (I used take off position tho) and not using them.
I couldn't take off without flaps Indifferent .

Cool, second try with full flaps worked, I was so close to the water lol Big Grin

I just released chocks and went down the whole deck without touching anything, at the end deployed full flaps and quickly retracted gear, and pulled up very slightly (my trim settings are an enigma to me).

Bi-1 takeoff was awesome, not too hart to get out of the hangars, much harder for me was to land and stop before hitting the hangar, I literally finished that mission without rudder which I lost on takeoff, and tipped over on my nose. I then had to apply some throttle and push myself tipped over on the nose towards the hangar a bit more to finish the mission, it was pathetic Big Grin

Next was landing that Japanese plane under AA fire, man that plane was hard to figure out how to land, its stall speed with flaps is around only 140-150kph. I figured out the best way to end that when I got my engine taken out at the beginning. As soon as I got to the cover of the buildings I cut my throttle completely, flew over the hangar instead of under it (this is the only part of the campaign where I cheated), get back down to cover again, deploy full flaps and gear and land.

I'm now at the G-50 Liberator escort mission and I don't get what's supposed to be special there, tried it once, got to base, said target complete, then crashed on landing. Going to get that done now.

I've survived all the way round the last mission but ruined the gear on landing and couldn't get it in the hanger, need to try it again! Smile
