I think I've met my match, the I-16 hangar landing mission. Just one more reason to hate that damn plane, a little control input and the thing dances all over the place. I don't think I'll pull that mission off without MANY more tries.

P-47 was easy, just aimed a bit above the horizon, too easy to shoot the bridges with the tempest (took out the AA train too) but damn the tempest is tricky to land, I failed on landing approach like 4 times, thing bounces like crazy. The chimney level was fun, as long as the other planes are coming at you from the side it's good, never let them come at you from the front, turn away if they do. I finished that mission without aileron controls.

I really enjoyed the I-16 landing and also the B-1 take off, I kept fowling the landing though.
On mission 20, I do feel that my landings are improving albeit slowly Smile

I haven't progressed that far into the campaign, yet. I've just done the P-38L landing. My favorites are the I-16 landing and BI-1 take off.

I'm now stuck on mission 22 with the landing the P-51. I really hate that plane now with its tendancy to flip forward on landing :P

Believe me or not, I finished it in first mission, in my pretty much careless style Mean Happy .
I actually lowered gears before the tunnel... then after I overflew the tanks I just pulled down in the tunnel hole Twisted , after that part it was quite easy, much easier than 109 landing because I-16 is smaller. I just taxied thru the hangars and to the right and in the main hangar.

But I was extremely lucky.

Now I'm stuck with B-25 take off... that thing really sinks fast at the end of carrier I get ~80mph speed (IAS). End up in drink... of course after I land on carrier I taxi to the beginning of the runway, back. Then chocks, full throttle, a bit trim up, but no luck so far.

Try raising flaps and only lowering them once you're moving a bit quicker Smile

Got it! Flaps are the key... I need to hit around 100mph and deploy a bit trim up and flaps.
Thx.

I cheated and took off while the carrier was still moving. Landed, taxied back to the rear of the CV and took off from there. It was easy.

That would be the easy part. Do you know the slip maneuvre? You apply full rudder to one side and slightly bank the plane to the other, so it does not turn but kind of slips over the wing. This way you can lose a lot of altitude without gaining speed and you can do it quickly.

I had a problem taking off, but landing was a piece of cake. Gear down, flaps down, slipping into the canyon. One try and done.

Now to the B-24's... what are we supposed to do there?
After a while I get "Primary Target: Complete" after that it's the landing.
Is that all to it?

Not sure about the B24's.
Finally finished the 110 mission, thanks JtD Smile

On the last mission now, are you in for a treat!
The only part I can't do atm is land at the end without damaging the plane.

Great fun Smile

Completed the campaign. I got KIA 22 times (half of that in the Gladiator flying through chimneys), about as much as I get killed online within half a year! Good to know there's room for improvement. Smile

Great campaign, my favorite missions are the I-16 landing, Bi-1 take off and of course the Ki-27 landing. Thanks to the maker, I had a lot of fun!

Congratulations, I still haven't cracked one or two of the missions.

I have been doing some of these missions after I get home from work. I just did the J8 in the smoke stacks; Hard, not easy.
And the YP80 landing in the rock canyon; that I liked. Me likey the YP80.
The P-47 with the bombs and no fuel; Hated-it. Had to land near the field but I got a success.
And then the famed I-16 in the hangars. I just did it. And "This bro was on! did'nt trip. Laid that sucka down to the bone like a mutha." It was hard. Very hard. But I got it.
