Looks like its black smoke comming from the ground, maby from a bombed target  First time i looked at the shot i just assumed it was very dark clouds, dhu.  Would be cool if a ac flying through smoke effects how it moves just like irl. (proppably wont, but i would be cool) |

If ind it sort of odd that this is flight sim and there are more shots of land objects than airplanes. I guess like he says hes a photographer. Oh well, its Olegs world and were just livin in it.

I'm guessing that's the smoke from the He-111 he just shot down  . I assume the pilot models will come in later. Sooooooo.......What if we just 4x-16x the pixel count on everything, ya'know....2048x2048 skins and the like vs. 1024x1024(4x) (or the low res 512x512(16x) used throughout)....

Definitely not... If the Il2 engine could do what the SOW engine can then what would be the point of a new engine at all? Compare :- IL2 finished patched up for 6 years, full graphics :-  SOW beta unfinished :-  -------------------------------------------------------------  "Over Dieppe, the wing was immediately bounced by a hundred FW 190s and a few Me 109s. So, no diffraction in canted armoured windscreens?
 Personally I think it the planes and pits look bitchin'. Apart from saying the shadows look smashing I'll reserve judgement on the rest but add that I am glad that progress is being made and we are being informed. _______________________________________ Dum spiro, spero. |

I must say those bolt heads look well nasty to bang your head on. Why didnt the RAF add some rubber/material cover like the FW190?
Would have saved some nasty head injuries IMHO. Oh and does anyone know what the other added button on the control yoke is for? Actually, these shots were done on a core2due at 2.6ghz, 2gb ram, and an 8800gts.
