Usually I fly UKD1, which has externals on and cockpit off. I know that many of the popular faces around here wouldn't ever enter that server. So I'm not surprised to actually meet very few.
I frequently check the list of people on the left side of Hyperlobby to see who's on... Smile
I never expected to see people playing where I play, I just like when I see "xxx is online" (white "welcoming" text when I put someone on friends list).

I mostly fly Scorched Earth with my squadron on the squadron server. When I do venture into the evil world of HL, it is under the not too obvious _79_FF_

Fly friendly!

You probably remember me even from earlier than that... Atomic_Marten, that was my first online nick, Kuna being second Smile .
I know I played quite a lot under AM nick @ UK ded 1 Big Grin .

What servers do you play on these days? (when you do have a comp+game+stick)
Spits vs 109s, WarClouds, UK_dedicated_3, AAA, Skies_Of_Fire.
Haven't played for a long time on UK3 but I give it a whirl yesterday and I liked it... was some Yak-9, LA-5, IL2 mission vs Bf-109G6, FW-190A5 etc. eastern front action.
Was nice.

Lately I got this feeling for Spits vs 109s especially when they run eastern front.
It's funny how people can misidentify aircraft and take offensive maneuvers vs friendlies even at close ranges... I flew P-39 and the guy in Spit V almost riddled me in the near vicinity of a red team airfield...
Of course no AAA was on, nor my Cobra looked like any other aircraft available in the planeset. Hammer

It's really nice to fly in close formation there, I'm are able to read tactical numbers on airplanes... Smile which gives me valuable info (when you're not on TS Hammer ). So I know to whom I'm are speaking lol (chat bar).

Sorry for being too descriptive, but I really had a nice evening on Spits vs 109s.

Hi Buzz,

I left the game with a friend in China before moving here. Same goes with the stick. My plan was to buy the 1946 dvd and a new stick. I drove to the next city just for the game, ram, and a stick. This huge computer store chain didn't have the game, or any other game I asked for although they have isles and isles of games. To pour salt in my wounds, they wanted 100USD for 1Gb ram. Not wanting to set myself up to go postal, I just gave up and left.

It's not a priority right now but it is on my 'to-do' list.

But I doubt anyone would see me online anyway. I strongly dislike HL. It seems most of the forum regs fly there.

Smash just about says it all, im there and hacked down by the boom and zoom types. Then I get frustrated by the "spitfire wiggle" and the ever popular "schpadoink" to high altitude zoom climb.. some days it just torques me off, then I fly offline. Am currently stooging about on a pe-2 idea on the kiev map using the 409 beta. But who knows, I allot 1 hr a day to offline/online gaming, kinda hard when working 2nd shift to get in the good stuff at noon etc.

I have been flying as =PF=Coastie since the beginning of time. We are currently involved in Forgotten Skies every Sun, Tue and Fri. But I still get on WC or Spits v 109's from time to time.

I have seen many come and go over the years. The only time I used to change my nick was to fly Axis on the coop based wars. Our squad had an alter ego nick (=VD=Deadstick) was mine.

If you ever see me, feel free to say hi and maybe we can take a nice long flight up in some Jugs to harass some Jerries!

I saw you Coastie some time ago on WC Cool ...
You like flying P-47s?
He he I have this thing for P-51 lately... flew a sortie or two with Brain the other day he in P-47 me in P-51... we stalked blue crew over their base Big Grin ...
Was good until, after some time, they really decided to finally get us, Brain got under attack of an FW and he shot it down but in the process his engine was shot out...

All in all was good fun.

We RedTails are online practically every night. I missed last couple due to Babe Ruth Baseball with the kid and general fatigue (not to be confused major pain in the ass).

I've been spending most of my time on Skies of Valour.

I'm normally easy to find. Just look for a rising column of dark smoke and I'm normally at the bottom of it.

At first I thought I was fairly bad, but have recently put together a new computer and have found my scores going up! (Its amasing how hard it is to follow another plane with low frame rates!)

I got a personal high score of 1068 points last night Woo! Hoo! I decided that I'm still not good as a fighter pilot but have got fairly reasonable at skip bombing against ships and shooting down bararge ballons!

See ya!

Online mostly as TUSA/Thunderbolt56 these days as I found it simply too much trouble to fly sans the TUSA moniker I use for our international matches.

I too have an alter ego, but rarely ever use it. And find myself spending my "free" flying time mostly on Spits-vs-109's which still isn't much (only a couple hours a week at best). http://www.warbirdsofprey.org/stats_spits/

Don't use HL.

I had a few good sorties with DKoor last week (luv those P-39's). Too bad we couldn't hook up on comms. Not having it makes SA soooo much harder.

If I’m not mistaken, I think I saw you yesterday on UKDed2 bombing the stuffing out of some Japanese ships. I was in a Wildcat trying my best to stay alive. Wink

I know I'll get flamed for this but I've been saying this for a long time, if you want see an il2 related forum where most people doesen't even fly/play the game anymore, go check on UBI.
And the funniest thing of all is that those that play the least are actually the most vocal group in FM/DM discussions - priceless Veryhappy Clap

Anyway after a shorter brake, I fly again, mostly on WarClouds and recently again on UKDedicated3 which is a damn fine server people!!! Go there, it's fun Thumbs Up

Had some excellent Fw190A4 fun today online.

That plane is a beast in 1942 maps vs SPitfire V's.

"Over Dieppe, the wing was immediately bounced by a hundred FW 190s and a few Me 109s. I heard Johnson effing and blinding as he broke 610 into a fierce attack. I was hard at it dodging 190s, but I found time to speak sharply to Johnson about his foul language." - WingCo Jaime Jameson 12 Group Spitfire
