Hi Guys,
Quite same time ago, I’m thinking to build a track system, similar to TrackIR, from Natural Point, but my electronics skills sucks  , so my Q, to u all, is : Can the TrackClip PRO, be used with a mixed combination, i mean, clip, TrackIR 4 hardware and a normal webcam, like the free track systems?? Hi Asas
Don't know for sure but the discussions I've read talk of using LED lights as the object being tracked. I have a TIR2 so haven't tried this myself.  |

I don't think so.
To my knowledge the TrackClip PRO uses 3 active Infrared-diodes. That makes it more precise than the dots that merely reflect the TrackIR's emissions. But as these diodes work in the IR-spectrum, that is beyond a normal webcam, so it cannot track them. Beyond that, the free tracking-systems I know are not capable of 6DOF, so the clip alone won't help you. greets Capt.LoneRanger  |

"TrackClip PRO uses 3 active Infrared-diodes" But, Capt., the "Freetrack" uses Infrared-diodes also, they recomend those diodes, using nornal webcam.
