~S~ "The pilot managed to crashland it successfully and we refrained from shooting up the survivors. The word must have got around, as the next day I was shot down and had to bale out. While I was lying in the sand with a busted shoulder, the Bf 109 pilot who did me made a run over me but held his fire." Flg Off R.F. Martin, No 73 Sqn

The passing of a true legend... <S> Regards, FW190fan "We are now in a position of inferiority. There is no doubt in my mind, or in the mind of my fighter pilots that the FW190 is the best fighter in the world today." - RAF Air Marshall Sholto Douglas, 1942. www.7/JG77.com7/JG77=CUJO=

Mis mas sentidas condolencias a su familia y todo el entorno de la gran Luftwaffe, que sin duda le recordará como un gran as, un gran camarada y la personificación del espíritu militar germano desde la SGM hasta nuestros días.

rip,S! looking at the second pic, the things those eyes have seen.
After it was refeuled i climbed in.With many manipulations the mechcanics started the turbines.I followed their actions with the greatest of interest. The first one started quite easily.the second caught fire.In no time the whole engine was on fire.Luckily as a fighter pilot i was used to getting quickly out of the ****pit. The fire was quickly put out.The second plane caused no trouble - Adolf Galland (first time in a ME262)

R.I.P. A very sad loss indeed. All right, they're on our left, they're on our right, they're in front of us, they're behind us... they can't get away this time. Lieutenant General Lewis B."Chesty" Puller (when surrounded by 8 enemy divisions) Metric Conversion
