Does the La-7 with 3 20mm cannons have less rounds per gun than the normal one? Different rate of fire? Different velocity?

Yes it does. The 2xShvak version has 200 rounds per gun, The 3xB20 has 150 rounds per gun. in the rate of fire, balistics and destructive power the two guns are almost identical.
The big advantage of the Berezin B20 gun is that it weights only around 25 kg compared with the 40 kg of the Shvak cannon. So in the late La-7 you get a substantial increase in firepower without weight penalty. This message has been edited. La-7 (2xShVAK) 200 rpg for one and 170 rpg for the other cannon
La-7 (3xB-20) 130 rpg ...if memory serves me well. No one in sane mind ever turns when he has any other option. ~ DKoor |

La-7 has 200 per gun, the 200/170 split is there on the La-5.
La-7B20 has 2x150, 1x130. It also has a different belting with more tracer rounds. |
