I got one right here. It's a whole week old. It replaces a worn out Cyborg EVO. I very much like it so far. The precision is untouchable. It's way up there, really. Nothing come close to it. It's all magnetic something something. 16000x16000 resolution technobabble and it shows! No movement friction at all neither little parts to get gunked up, so it's very likely quite durable. The base is large and heavy, so the stick stay put. Obviously, it's not all good. The buttons feel somewhat loose. It's not really a problem as they always catch the press. I got no lost clicks problem so far. You just need to apply a willing pressure on them. The stick material (the spot you grab with your hand) is a bit of a problem as my hands tend to get moist and this makes the thing quite slippery. That's a problem the EVO did not have. Next imperfection would be the Z axis rotation which is quite small. The throw is about 30 degree total. This is not enough for proper precision and/or coordinated flying. Lastly, it truly is plug-n-play (well.. duh!). Just plug it in and start flying. It also came bundled with a free game (TC H.A.W.X.) which is a super arcade power flight sim much like the Ace Combat series. Overall, the stick itself (left, right, up and down) is _way_ up there. The rest is just fine... it's no military grade perfect fancy bling bling. Add some rudder pedals and a Saitek throttle quadrant and you'll have a damn fine HOTAS. Regards, Andrew from Canada. |

oh yeah I forgot. The stick is a little "stiff". There is no spring at all. It's what the 16000x16000 magnetic technobabble means.
The middling seam too strong when you first grab it but it goes away as soon as you start flying. |

Is cause manufacturers start to use rubber pads (like in gamepad, hand calculators, TV remote control...) instead tactile micro-switch: T.16000M "guts". Activtor pad: http://www.sukhoi.ru/forum/att...d=95801&d=1246364768 They are some cents more cheap than micro-switchs...
This joystick use helicoidal spring, like one used by Saitek. This spring is put under the cover. Is barely visible in this picture: http://www.sukhoi.ru/forum/att...d=94514&d=1243521444 http://www.sukhoi.ru/forum/att...d=94436&d=1243358185 16000x16000 is just "advertsing", is relative to HALL sensor resolution: 14 bits or 16383 position - in easy form "16000M" X and Y axis = 16000 x 16000 BTW- Saitek X-52 use 12 bits and Saitek X-52 PRO use 10 bits HALL Sensor. Anyway HALL sensor use are a steep ahead in joystick manufacture, after all they are very cheap actually. But, are better sensor in the market, the so caled "MaRS": http://translate.google.com.br...l=en&history_state0= Note the use of sensors in ALL axis. Right links to inside pictures of T.1600M in previous post. Sokol1 This message has been edited. Last edited by: Sokol__1, |
