In-game, it's the Lavochkin La-7, the dive whiners can go to H, actually they can dive away scared sh1tless in their super diving planes as soon as they see me in my "poor" La7 that can dive

You know, there was/is a Berlin map on UKded servers which had Me262/109K4/Fw190D9 vs La7/Yak3/Yak9u etc and I would say, from ym experience on that map, that the Fw190D9 was easily a match for the La7. Whether its a result of good teamwork by the Blues, I am not sure, but I have played that map many, many times on the Blue side and never felt overwhelmed by the La7's. I felt it was quite equal. Maybe 1 vs 1 would be a different story, however... -------------------------------------------------------------  "Over Dieppe, the wing was immediately bounced by a hundred FW 190s and a few Me 109s. I have played that map a lot as well, and agree with you completely. Yak-9U was far, far deadlier on that map. No one in sane mind ever turns when he has any other option. ~ DKoor |

IL2 I voted Lavochkin, it's an absolutely beautiful plane outside and in that's brought me through more than any other plane. I can't believe it got 0%! Don't you people have any fond memories of your n00b days in that thing? I still fly it all the time after owning the game since bloody 2003.
IRL I voted P-51 because since I was 9 I've been in LOVE with that plane. I used to imagine flying thousands of feet above the ground shooting down Gerries and dodging bullets. + It simply looks awesome. #1 romantic plane in the game, no doubt about it. ------------------------------------------ "Ah yes, Michael," Bader replied, "But these particular Fockers were Messerschmitts..." |

IRL .. I would opt for the Sea Fury. A carrier capable Tempest on Steroids .. missed the war by a few months and used operationally by FAA until the mid 50's they often feature in the winning places at Reno.
