Seen it flying and on display there as well, such a beautiful aircraft. The P-38L, F4U-4, B-25J were also nice displays!

Some pictures from the AirPower 2009, just a fraction of the 150 pictures I took on Saturday, going to add more as time permits...

Why not start off with one of my personal highlights of this airshow - the Messerschmitt Bf109G-4 "Rote 7"

Here we can see it still on ground display awaiting its turn to take to the skies

Isnt she beautiful!? I spent at least half an hour watching her and talking to the ground crew as well as other visitors who were interested in the machine. Only when my slightly enraged and ****ed off girlfriend walked up to me with the words "Can we move on now, I'm bored!" did I manage to seperate myself from the 109

Unfortunately the inflight pictures of the Messerschmitt are some of the worst pictures I took that day because (a) at the time she flew there was a very thick and broad layer of clouds directly over the airfield effectively blocking the sunlight and (b) my digital camera could zoom in close enough to get a close up shot

Of course I couldnt resist getting some souvenirs and as you could have guessed I simply HAD to buy this Me109 key tag. The patch is from an Austrian Saab 105 squadron.

Some random shots here, first one is an Austrian Saab 105, got my patch from the guy on the left. The second picture shows some aircraft lined up at the edge of the airfield, among these a Greek F-16D and a Swiss Hawker Hunter with a Tiger paintscheme. Third picture shows an F-15C Eagle behind a KC-135 Stratotanker and last but not least the last three pictures show the French Breitling aerobatics team in action flying their Czech L-39 Albatros jets!

Shots of a USAAF F-15C Eagle sitting behind a KC-135 Stratotanker

Shots of an E-3 Sentry AWACS, one of which shows the RedBull AirRace formation flying overhead

S-70 BlackHawk of the Austrian AF

Alouette III of the Austrian AF which will be replacing the current JetRangers as training helicopter in the near future

To me unknown transport aircraft of the Hungarian AF

Thank you a lot for sharing these Karaya, I couldn't make it to Zeltweg this year. Sad

btw, Hungarian transport is An-26, and Polish one is CASA C-295.
