just for the sound the DB605 is my favourite engine sound - right up there with Packard/RR Merlin and P&W Double Wasp - but just sounds so mean and throaty!!!   |

Agreed, best motor sound of WW2, this mix of a throaty bass with a high pitched supercharger gives me the bumps. Only one coming close is the R 2800 Double Wasp. What a brutal piece of machinery. I love it! Bewolf Never discuss with stupid people. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. |
