I have IL2 and I can't seem to stop the aircraft from wandering to the right - constantly. I suspect this is supposed to simulate engine torque. I have a Saitek cyborg evo joystick. I'm too stupid to set this all up right. Anyone with a little patience out there to guide me. Thanks.

Did you calibrate the stick in windows before playing?,the next thing I would suggest is triming the plane,I'm sure more of an expert will be round to give you help soon.

Do as steiner says...
If I can be of any help, I set up all my settings to value within game setup to 100.
Nice, simply and easy Big Grin .

"Controversially, Pierce's final Zeke kill on this month took the form of Tom McGuire's seemingly indestructible fifth victim, the former having watched growing impatience as the major, and several other P-38 pilots in his formation, made futile attempts at downing the Japanese fighter. With a sure hand, he deftly dropped down on the unfortunate Zeke from a superior altitude, slotted in behind it, and promptly shot it down with a single burst! Pierce shrugged off the personal invective levelled at him over the airwaves by a rather peeved McGuire, who accused him of being 'a thieving interlooper'."

And you can fly that way with neutral trim yet with less bleed in mixed maneuvers as well.
You get something back in that from the always touchy but linear-response stick. That
little bit of pull near center gets the same change as the same pull anywhere else, makes
a difference in control.

I'm not saying don't trim, just that it's better with all the same sliders during fast mixed
maneuvers (dogfight) with neutral trim.

For me, I have compromised since I used all-100's a few years ago. The sliders form a straight
line now from 44 to 100 since 4.07 and about 60-70 to 100 from PF till 4,07. The handling
change of 4.07 went a long way to lowering the left end for me. Filter alone let me do some
of that before 4.07. There was also a time when I ran 91 to 100 for sliders after all-100's
and all-90's.

Wasn't it CHDT or a name like that who was big on all-100's back in 2002-2003?

This is a Great little program, you can easily set up your stick how you like it and save it.
( a gentile curve works best for me) also has filtering and deadzone sliders.
