Thinking about this... I have a Logi Extreme 3D pro (cheap, but by far the most comfortable joystick I have ever used) and a CH TQ. Wondering if the hands on throttle really makes that much of an improvement in a WWII game over a TQ, and if FFB is more precise. Otherwise I'll just get some rudder pedals and call it a day.

Too expensive. I'd stick to my X52 Pro, backed up by a CH stick and throttle in case of need ...

Frank DO NOT sell that Logitech until youre sure you like the rudders (and/or new joystick).Ive tried practically EVERYTHING and keep coming back to the Extreme 3d Pro...
RUDDER PEDALS:Even the guys here who love them will admit they will put your flying back weeks, months maybe even years ...OK so they are more 'realistic' but so is shooting yourself in the head if you get killed in a game...

The Extreme 3D pro feels AWESOME, doesn't it? I mean, all the "high end" joysticks are modeled after the F-16's and they look so blocky and uncomfortable, Lockheed should make their joysticks the same way Logitech makes the 3D Pro. Tried my friend's X45 and both the throttle and stick felt like they were designed for someone who's like 7 feet tall (and I'm only 5'4"). Just could not reach the pinkie button and the ones on top of the stick without ridiculously contorting my hand (unlike the 3D pro, which conforms perfectly to the shape of my hand). I had a Saitek Evo before and it needed way too much pressure to get it away from neutral, and the X45 was no different (the Logi feels perfect). As for the pedals, I am trying to get my license in real life so I'm sure I would find them easier (especially since my joystick twist has a bit of play in it), but I'll have to save up a bit before I can justify buying them.

As for the G940, it has FFB, more buttons, another hat switch (not sure what to use it for though), and trim wheels (sure beats my crude method of using the levers on my TQ), but it has that generic F-16 styling that I just am not a fan of, doesn't look any more comfortable than the X45. If only they made a stick that has the feel of the 3D Pro with the features of the G940. Logitech does make a FFB stick that looks exactly like the 3D pro, but I had a FFB Logitech stick several years ago and it wore out really quickly, dunno if they've gotten any better.

And everyone here says that the system is pricey but $270 seems like a deal for what you get, considering that CH charges around $120 each for its Pro Throttle, Fighterstick, and pedals (and they don't have FFB).
