Well it's very awe inspiring.

To listen to an 85 year old grandmother talking about herself and another female pilot being the only two fighters v 20 odd bombers, shooting some down and then having a wing shot off and her struggle to bail out.

Makes your hair stand on end

Be nice to be able to download this. But no matter what scummy thing I try - I cannot manage it so far.

Excellent post. Thanks Cobra.

Nice find Feathered.

I did come up with an excellent solution that I think I shall pass along for anyone who finds themselves in a similar situation in the future.

If you ever want to capture streaming audio, allow me to introduce to you - the Freecorder toolbar.

It is t!ts! Press record. Start the audio. When the program ends - click stop. The mp3 file in placed in My Documents\My Recordings.

It works perfectly.

Works with Firefox/IE (perhaps others I don't know.)

I DL'd this the other day but I haven't had the chance to listen yet. BTW, I'm really enjoying the BBC World Service website. Lot's of good stuff there. Thumbs Up

Glad you like it crucis, but there's much, much more on...

BBC i-player

Unfortunately, if you're not in UK you will probably only get radio. You've discovered World Service already, and I really recommend exploring Radios 4 and 7.

Cool! I wasn't aware I could hear some of the other radio programs, but it looks like I can. I'm in the States, so the TV shows are unavailable. Great suggestion, thanks!
