Hammer

Spotted this thread. Earlier on today. But couldn't post.

I had asked the same question earlier on in IL2 Forums.

And as truth be told. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Considering, when this plane was designed? I have to say that the Bugatti. Has to be achingly beautiful.

Just paint it, how you like.

You will see what I mean?

All other designs posted. I have witnessed. But for pure clarity of line and aerodynamic efficiency within it's purported envelope. It's a "No Brainer" bow

The only real plane I have ever flown in.

Our Museum glorifies no state, but strives to use these aircraft as a memorial for all lost in war. Our freedom can only be truly appreciated when held in contrast to those who sought to destroy it. Our staff is proudly made up of people from many cultures and religions. Click the photos for details of our projects.

Funny thing is? I thought the White 1 foundation.
Was a legitimate and serious sight.

However you have lost me there! Indifferent

I think the Hawker Hind would be a serious contender if just looks where in consideration:

The Bugatti isn't bad either. It and the Hind has a certain aesthetical style in common.

Fly friendly!

Showing indecent pictures like that monstrosity of an aeroplane is nothing less than perverted.

One more thing. I also think that the Bristol F.2b is ruggedly beautiful, while the Fokker DR (red baron plane) is like a flying queen to me. People often forget about those ol ww1 planes.

Wish there was a good ww1 flight sim.

Now I did NOT know that! Just demonstrates the educational value of this forum!

As for the SuperGuppy above, I used to see one of these over my neck of the woods flying out of Manchester Airport on a regular basis, however not for several years now, pity.

The aircraft was drawn by Pierre Louis de Monge, a Belgian engeneer.

That seaplane pictured a couple of posts back... how did that ever get airborne with all that drag? Especially as I can only see three weedy engines!

Or was it just a floating gin palace?
