Great point Urufu re: porting from PC to console then back again. There's a host of serious issues in BOP for consoles and some of us who are familiar with IL-2 1946 aren't as thrilled with BOP as the youngsters. While admitingly, BOP looks good, it doesn't look good all the time.

To be honest I don't get the point!
We have IL2, why woudl we want a slimmd down in complexity but slightly graphically spiffed up console version of it on the PC? I understand the want for porting IL2 to the console marked with BOP but why port it back?? Like I said, its NOT for YOU, its for people are arnt pro flight simmers. Its an introductory game, to help smooth out the learning curv. Without this type of game, we get no new blood. No new blood, flight sim suffers from attrition and slowly dies. Be happy that the industry is showing at least SOME interest in simming.  |

Thanks for the review.  If BOP and WOP are the same than it is definately a waste of money. According the review: -Scale problem: Houses are tiny, trees are huges, tanks are smaller than motorcycles, tiny planes in huge hangars etc. -No Axis campaigns. -No Axis cockpits. -Limited number of missions. -Lack of campaigns.   |

This looks like it'll be a fun disctraction and a bit of just plain ol' pointless fun,plus I think it'll definitely bring more people to this sim.The first "sim" I got into was Blazing Angels,very lite on the sim side(very very) but it bridged the gap for me and made me seek out more realistic fligth game which led me here.

We don't know hw relistic it is going to be it may be really realstic if the devs know what they are doing any way i saw somthing i think where the devo of iL2 BOP said that he understands how the consol players want somthing more instent action and less relstic so let's hope he takes that onbord and brings a good realistc flight sim

You bring up a good point, but I think that a bunch of snot nosed degenerate kids would not last long on here. The reasonable thing to do was upgrading our Il-2 to BoP graphic quality standards, not porting the game. Now that's a v.5.00 I'd pay for.

Negative. Neither of them had anything to do with BOP development other than Maddox games supplied FM data. I was looking at the BOP forum today and I cma across a couple of intresung nuggits 1 no one playes BOP online anymore and 2 WOP is men to have better aircaraft models (comperd too BOP)and more levels ect.
yes I know it's not SOW but iam getting rather exited about it but i will not buy it untill i read a few reviews of the game i wonder if it will be able to hold a flame to IL2 1946 |

Already have 1946 so why? It's like reading a good book then looking to buy the comic, errr, graphic NOVel.
When people take a plane out to see what it can do they really find what they can do with it. |
