I think you will need to be a bit more specific about the problem, Shafto.

I'd check first that it is not a problem with the mouse, or mouse drivers, rather than with IL-2.

If this is ok, then you will need to give us more details before anyone is likely to be able to help.

Do you mean that the in-game mouse pointer isn't working, but the Windoze one is?
If this is the case, hit Ctrl Alt Del to bring up your task manager and "switch to" Il2. If it still doesn't work, repeat this process.
When this happens to me, I need to do this two (2) times and then get the Il2 in-game mouse pointer to work.

If I tab out to the desktop from Il-2 and then go back to Il-2, often the mouse pointer icon from the windows desktop is still on screen in Il-2 just sitting there. To get rid of it I tab out again, minimize any windows that are open like Firefox or whatever so that only the desktop is showing, then go back to Il-2, it's annoying but whatever, it's easy to make it go away.

Are you using UI1.2 when this happens?

If so, I think it is a bug. This happens to me now everytime since I installed 1.2.

It used to only happen when if I pushed my PTT button for TS while the game was loading. Now it happens everytime.

When task manager comes up and the game minimizes, close task manager, then click on the game in the task bar and all will be good.
