I've been wanting to set up a DCG camapign with some biplanes, the cool wheels down monoplanes and the early i-16s.
What bombers would be good for this sort of thing though?
The TB3 obviously, what else is slow enough to be somewhat catchable for the fighters?

And any thoughts on how the Fokker XX1, Nate, G.50 etc match up would also be good to hear!

See how close you can get to what was used over Spain. I-16's were there and IIRC early 109's with biplane fighters.
The fast bombers had long legs compared to a lot of fighters then which was reflected in some doctrines.

There was other action in Asia between Japan and China (very one-sided) and Japan and Russia. The latter was known
to Chennault and helped form his doctrine for the AVG.

Also 1939; Poland vs Germany -- might check if the Germans were still using biplanes at all, we have Pzl's.

Avia B534 fought in poland as well ... for Slovakia

suggestions

- Storch and ju87

-- there are quite a few non flyable two seater biplanes that will be good including the new Letov

-- the PBY the MBR-2-AM-34 and other float planes are slow

-- as is the Blenheim and the SU2

If you want some historical prewar British Gladiator squadrons feel free to use these skins I uploaded to M4T:

SM.79, G.50, CR.42 vs. I-16 type 5/6, I-15bis, SB-2 is a good matchup imho.

The same Soviet types vs. Ki-21 and Ki-27 should work very well, too.

Blenheim plus Fokker vs. I-16 on skis plus SB-2 is also fairly even.
