While doing research for a colleague I stumbled upon the resource linked above. Entitled, Gorrell's History of the AEF Air Services 1917-1918, it is indeed a comprehensive study of EVERYTHING done by the AEF Air Services during their short time in the Great War. The document itself is on microfilm at NARA, though right there on footnote.com, absolutely free, you have access to just over 76,000 pages from its contents. If you're an avid flight fan, you'll definitely want to take a look!
