What is FILES.SFS extractor?

Its a program that will let you open the contents of the games files with the .SFS extension.

Supposedly they didnt stop because they wanted Oleg to say the words, i am sure they will stop it now, because he stated his position. Personally i dont understand position of sukhoi admins on this matter. And i clearly stated my opinion there too. What QTim did is wrong in many counts. Let me explain:

1) He broke into intellectual property of MG

2) He maybe a good programmer, but it doesnt mean that all this mess will have positive outcome. Simply because the broke into a file that contains partial data and promised by him changes are nearly impossible. Promising golden mountains without knowing how whole thing actually works, is plain silly. Some people believe that ripping apart files.sfs and what else is there that they can break into will extend life of the series, boy....they are dead wrong. Two things might happen:
a) Maddox will throw his people in to make another copy protection. Which will delay SOW once again.
b) He will not allocated resources or will say just screw it... and let it go. That will turn MP into $hit, no other word i can come up with.
Problem is, knowing how to break in does not mean knowing how to make it work properly.... Needless to say that QTim claims to take IL-2 FM/DM to new levels of accuracy and shows P11 at 600mph instead... Priceless.

My position is pretty strong about it for many reasons... i know that prohibiting this will not help much... but that`s the best i can do as a mod here...

Normally this qualifies for a lawsuit. I wouldn't let the guy go, his IP and his line is probably traceable. Or, a faster method is to arrange an "accident" for him.... I heard it is easy to do in Russia
