I have asked this is a less direct manner.
All I wanted to see were the in game screenies using FRAPS. I just wanted to see those little yellow numbers, and what system was used to take the screen shots.
Quite frankly, the best system out right now may not be enough to run it smooth, but I surely hope that I am wrong.

They had better have the right amount of main flight feathers too. You know there is going to be some seagull expert making a big stink about it.

I expect to be able to select my '40s pin up chick for air to ground fun. I will be very disappointed if not.

If you are lucky you might get the chance to put a picture of your floozie in your cockpit, but painting half-naked women on aeroplanes was a habit introduced by 'the yanks' well after tha Battle of Britain. And if you want much air-to-ground fun, I think you'll be flying for the axis, who didn't go in for that sort of thing much either.

Perhaps if you ask Oleg nicely, he'll provide a few WAAFs to brighten up the RAF airfields though, and later in the war, a few female ATA pilots to bring in replacement spits too:

Yup, the "uniform doesn't have the right amount of stitches and the 109 pit is missing a rivet" kind of stuff.
I just think it's funny, looking at the amazing stuff Oleg and team have been working on and hearing people complain about this kind of stuff.

Last week I posted the update however I wasn't satisfied at all. The volcano landscape and all those jagged edges hurted my eyes and the Spitfire cockpit looked almost the same as on the bonus DVD from 2007 but this week is an improvement (maybe Oleg took my advice to heart? Veryhappy)
Anyway, on the Russian Sukhoi forum people also know how to complain: one member complained about the yellowish skin color and the fact that the eyes of the English pilot looked to Asian. Blink
Thát's whining...

We have the Banana Forum, UbiZoo, so they deserve a nickname too.

Actually, I think if you were to ask, Oleg would probably say 'I don't know yet', while still working on significant parts of the application, the minimum system spec that will comfortably run the finished app is an unknown. They probably have a target spec to aim for, but it would make little sense to release information now that might well turn out incorrect later.

If you are worried about being able to afford a system to run it on (I know I am...), then at least you've got a few months to save the pennies, and while you do, systems are getting cheaper anyway.

what kind of extra processing power will this new renderer require? Cray One or a Blue Ray possibly?

I have heard there will be two releases of SOW Gunz. One for the "well heeled" and one for the rest of us rag pickers. Big Grin

You can guess what will be missing for the second version.

This is why I would just love to know what kind of frame rates Oleg is getting right now and the system specs on the PC or PCs he is using to test this.

System specs? Now? Jeez guys, they just screwed the Alpha together. That's like asking "How fast will it go?" to a bike maker who's just welded the bike frame together. Wink

Guys, "hoped to" is not "will post".

It's not that hard to understand is it?

I don't recall Oleg ever promising specs by any date certain.
