Looking good.
The Spit is clearly factory-fresh: I'd like to see it when it has seen a bit of wear: Notice the shadow from the canopy frame falling across the pilot. |

The cockpit plexiglass is also way to clear. british fighters of that era were known for pretty bad plexglass.

thats the one thing i've noticed more about these screens. The amount of lighting detail and shadowing seems to emulate actual sunlight better. The ships look great, and part of me wonders if they are also going to include the light that reflects off the ocean onto the hull of the ship. I also could see the ship's hull under the water, but im not sure if that's new to SOW, or that my settings are so low that i'm not able to see a similar effect in Il2. Bill |

Oh my God! This is so reminiscent of the good ol' days here. This just feels so right.
Wow, what great work! I can't wait to see it in action. -PC Performance Aficionado and proud forum member since 2001 |

Very nice... Did you see those boats? Amazing. Imagine what battleships will look like.

The water looks fantastic, esp. in some of the boat shots. Photo-real.

Is this a "salley" ? |
|||
|

It is, but the Br.20 was used as a long-range bomber by Japan in the 30's 'cause the IJA didn't have a useful bomber for this purpose. |
|||
|
Yeah, the Sally was the first modern domestic designed bomber. While the BR-20 was the first modern bomber IJA used. |

I stand corrected.
I'm assuming the IJA will play little part in the Battle of Britain though. |

Yeah, the water transparency is new. Remember, Oleg has plans to eventually cover ground and sea vehicle combat, so transparent water is essential to submarine activity.

Well it might be hard to imagine, but there are people who are looking a bit further ahead than that what is right in front of ones nose (BoB) Which will only be taken along, but not the main focus on this sim. Here is your Italian plane: By the way the BR. 20 design being finalised in 1935 and the first prototype (serial number M.M.274) flown at Turin on 10 February 1936 The G3M1 Nell had its first flight in July 1935 so the bit with the first modern bomber, I would think over. Of course the G3M1 is navy IJN not IJA. The first Ki 21 Sally prototype flew on 18 December 1936. So the Nell is in any case earlier. |
