Wow, looks gorgeous, and a cool idea for a campaign.

Oh, and is there any historical background to this, or is it a speculative history kinda thing? What background of events do you have going on?

It is speculative/alternate history with regard to Slovakia itself.

But "the Terror" was very real during Russia's Five Year Plan of industrialization. It rivaled the Holocaust in Germany.

The campaign is loosely based on the historic course of events for this time period.

Looks great, but I would think that the AI I-153 is relatively unbeatable with those poor J8As.

The AI does not effectively exploit it's speed advantage in the 153 or it probably would be. The J8 I've found to be incredibly maneuverable and more than a match for the 153 in a close in dogfight.

The real problem for the J8s and Gladiators is their armament against Russian aircraft is just pitiful. You can't waist any shots at all and you really have to think about aiming only for the pilot or engines to get a kill.

It is a real triumph in this campaign to take down a Russian heavy bomber.

Looks like great fun! Hopefully lots of exhilarating low altitude biplane fights.

Since it's fictional why not go crazy with the plane set. Add captured russian planes, german ones etc. Metal

Good question. It's 1937 and Germany is not far away preparing for the occupation of the Sudetenland with it's large German population, as well as the annexing of Austria.

Our campaign will be somewhat of a "proxy" war - and a direct conflict between Germany and USSR will remain in the future...however there may be some indirect involvement here, that remains to be seen.

And don't worry - there will be plenty of screenshots here. Feedback always appreciated.

FW190fan

Thanks! I've always enjoyed viewing screens of your campaigns, but I've never made a campaign myself before and this one is becoming quite involved Surprised

If that's what you like, this will be a dream come true for you. You will literally fly between buildings and through smokestacks on some of the missions.

There will also be several low level one-on-one duels with a few Russian pilots who think they are in Slovakia simply for sport.

There will be an element of this, but on a smaller scale. There will be a handful of foreign aircraft purchased by the Slovakian government, a couple stolen from Russia, as well as 2-3 that are "leased" from a nearby sympathetic government. Winky
