Thumbs Up

You see, it wasn't that difficult... Wink2
At Leavesden they used to produce the Mosquito with the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine and nowadays they produce movies over there like Harry Potter and many others.

Thanks Uufflakke, not that difficult if your brain was running on all cylinders lol, mine's not. See if I can find a quickish question as I won't be around long.

Thanks dance, looks like they got lucky! Out of ideas at the moment, so an easy one:

Name at least 5 different types of multi-engined piston airplanes used in second world war that (in their major versions) had an odd total number of cylinders.

I was thinking about adding another condition: If you are in a top 10 participants in this quiz (number of correct answers - wise), you should list 10 aircraft. Veryhappy I knew this wouldn't last long. The floor is yours Dance!

Is it Willow Run, Ford manufacturing plant in Michigan, where they were assembling large numbers of B-24s during the war? The site was a farm initially, owned by Henry Ford, who then built a B-24 assembly plant there.

Tillamook County, Oregon? There is held "Pig n Ford Races" where contestants race with old T-ford rods with a pig aboard. And also there's the Naval Air Station Tillamook and Tillamook Air Museum. A really wild guess, so wild that in case I'm right, I'll leave the floor open for anyone!

Big Grin

EDIT: an interesting sidenote: Henry Ford was born in the year of the pig in Chinese astrology.Too Happy
