The engine?
British built tank engine (the Liberty) was not up to the task of powering a tank heavier than the Crusader. A new engine based on the Rolls-Royce Merlin aircraft engine was designed to replace it.

Yup  The RR Meteor not only was it developed from the Merlin by Leyland old engines from early Spitfires were re-engineered into Meteors so these two can be said to have the same engine
