O.k. not the most intellectually based post ever but, who cares. Everyone’s got a favorite plane right? I mean sure you fly a few others every now and then but at the end of the day you always end up going back to your favorite. The aircraft you have a special bond with, when you see one get shot up in a dogfight you can't stop yourself deliberately seeking out the guy that did it and teaching him a lesson. When flying your favorite aircraft you often use the external cameras just because it looks cool. Sure it my not handle as well as other aircraft, sure it's less maneuverable, slower, and the guns couldn't punch through tissue paper, but you don't care right? 'Cos it's your favorite plane. So what is it? Which is your favorite? Shout it out loud with pride!

What would Freud say about me if my answer to your question was that I don't have my fav and that I really like to fly them all and that there's never enough of them and that I'd sometimes even like to fly two at the time if possible?

Hehe, same here. I don't think I could reduce myself to a list of my 10 fav planes, let alone name 1.

i like Yak series and Focke Wulf series the most . my favourite Yak is the Yak-9U , my favourite Fokker is the A5.

Also really appreciate the Messers , especially the F2 , and enjoy the Airacobras very much as well .

For ground attack , i love the Il-2 of course but also the A-20 and P-47 that i flew a lot recently along the Corsair in pacific campaign

Fw 190

Quite a few others are on "second" place. Depends on my current mood.

Hands down, FW190.

The design and innovation of that airplane from top to bottom just amazing. It's like if BMW or Porsche hand-built a fighter. I know of no other aircraft that upon introduction to service, was so close to perfect, needing so few changes.

And yet that same basic airframe was so adaptable and versatile...amazing.

You know, after Oleg spoiling us with hundreds of planes, I don't think I would have it any other way!

I like them all, but I especially enjoy flying:

Tempest
Bf-109 F
Spitfire VIII clipped wings (in fact it is identical in performance to mk IX clipped)
Corsair
Kingcopra
Mustang III
Mc 200/202/205

Well all of them really. Probably it would be easier to talk about planes I don't care for much.

The Corsair, especially the late versions. From warbirds the Fw-190 and P-38 come second.
All three were excellent multirole aircraft but for me usually the naval aircraft wins.

Also I have great sympathy for the Bf-109, due to it's long service life, list of user and production run, despite this designs many weaknesses.

I used to like the Bf109 K-4 because of the big nose cannon, but now I like any Zero (mostly because I don't know the differences).
