I'm running vista 32 home SP1, E6850 3.0 duo, 2 gigs of ram, 8800 GTX, 174.74 drivers, Vegas 1 ports forwarded.

Basically I can play the game just fine @ 1680 X 1050 in every mode so long as I'm not the one hosting. When I host I eventually get 4 people in the room and within 5-10 min the game just freezes or doesn't load when changing maps.
I have to go back to desktop, check task manager and it simply says "not responding" so I close it and have to reload the game. I've not been able to host a single game that lasts more than 5 mins. Everytime I ask someone who's hosting a game that can host for hours what they're using, they always say "xp" ...

Anyone else have these problems?

I have virtually the same problem.

Vista Ultimate 32Bit +SP1 and all other updates Core 2 Duo 3.0Gighz,eVGA 680i Motherboard, 2GB DDR2 800, eVGA 8800GTX 768MB, Creative Xfi Xtream Gamer

I also have the proper ports forwarded...

I have tried this both off line (via Lan) and Online. With the Patch I have a game lockup / Crash but without the Patch it will play through just fine.

I can also join another persons Terrorist Hunt in progress and not have any problems at all.

The problem only seems to happen with specific maps and not all of them.

Just as well a friend of mine Hosting has exactly the same specs (accept for the video card, the other host is using an 8800 Ultra). Both systems have the same exact drivers and almost entirely the same settings in everything right down to the services. Other then our internal system spec's my internet connection is a 12Mega Bit Cable and his is a 1 Mega bit DSL. Also I am on a different router then him.

I am not sure how any of this changes the game so much as without the patch we were able to play the game without any lockups while I was hosting.

Similar issue. When I attempt to host, noone can seem to join my game. They always get to the "waiting for host" screen and it times out. Usually, I also seem to crash if I attempt to leave a game I host as well. I can play single player and join other games fine.

XP PRO, c2d, 8800GT

Bypass your router or try to open ports!

I was able to prolong the crash by reinstalling the game but this time to its default folder. This didn't stop the crashing but it did make it take a lot longer before the game would crash. I also noticed it doesn't happen to me in Single Player Coop, Only in Terrorist Hunt so far. Then again I have not tried to host longer then 3 hours of Single Player.

I was also able to retrieve an error the game is causing which is a General protection fault error. It took many crashes to get the error to show up as I would get a completely black screen from ether alt+tab-ing or from the Task Manager.

I don't think there is anything we can do to fix the problem. Hopefully Ubi will catch this in a patch as I've come across a lot people who have joined when I host TH that said they have the same problem and cannot host.

If your using a Router, Try opening up Ports:

3074 to 3174, in both TCP & UDP

This is how I host Vegas 1 & 2 in Terrorist Hunt.

I have the same problem with XP Pro, but only on certain maps.

With me it happens when I host and all players are killed, or the level is complete.

When it tries to go back to the lobby, the game screen freezes but the computer is still running.

Lots of posts in here on that issue.

If we give Ubisoft a year, maybe they will fix this and the many other issues in Vegas 2???

Yeah!! Right!!! Just like they fixed Vegas 1!! Still not fixed and never will be!!

I have a same problem in XP x64 and Vista x64.
Probably the codes of RSV2 are not optimized for those.

Change your metric rate in LAN from 9k to 10 and i think that seems to help.

Keep me posted on how it all goes
