I have the same problem.
But sometimes i hear the terrorist scream. If someone knows something plzz help me. |

I lose the Ai gunfire in certain maps but then it will return when I get to a new level.
At times I also lose my team mates gunfire, in Multiplayer CO-OP. All other sounds are there, even footsteps, reloading sounds, bullet whistle and ricochet, etc. I have downloaded latest sound drivers and also other versions, installed different sound cards, and the result is the same for all. I have never owned a game with so many bugs, glitches and problems in over 10 years of PC gaming. Respectable game companies always quickly release emergency patches to fix major issues like these, screen freezes and many more. At this point I have absolutely no respect left for Ubisoft!! |

Hi, i have the same problem! I hear nothing, only myself! Would you help me please?
if i new how to help you i would help myself 2 :S i realy dont now the awnser to this but some people say ubisoft is making a new patch for these people
If Ubisoft is working on a patch, it would be nice if they would at least acknowledge that fact!
They could eliminate a lot of the anger in these forums just by letting players know that these issues will be fixed. |

i got the solution to the sound problem !!
i mailt ubi support and they reply'd on my mail this is the exact copie of the mail : Response (Uk Technical Support) - 05/06/2008 08:40 AM Hello Thijs, Could you please try the following before loading the game. I need you to lower the sound card acceleration for your computer system. I include full instructions : To change the acceleration- with the left mouse button click on the start menu- with the left mouse button click on the run button- type in the text box the following word : dxdiag- this will bring up another window, allow the activity bar to finish and disappear (bottom left of window), this may take a minute or two, depending on the speed of your computer.- if requested if direct x is to check the signatures of the drivers, simply select the "No." option.- now along the top of the windows, click the "Sound" tab.- There is a slider bar about half way down the screen, can you move it one place to the left. Retry the game. If it doesnt work, then move the slider bar again to the left. Keep retrying until one starts to work for you. If this does not resolve the issue then please send us your system information following the instructions. To better serve you, we need a text version of the DirectX file that is in your system. This file reports all drivers for your sound and video card, as well as other vital information about your system that will help us in resolving your problem. Make sure you have the latest version of DirectX installed on your system. Download the latest version of DirectX from http://www.microsoft.com/directx. After installing DirectX, follow these steps: 1. From Windows, click Start->Run2. In the Open: box, Type DXDIAG3. Once the DXDIAG file is open, click on the "save all information..." button4. Click the save button to save the file as a text file in your Desktop.5. Log into the Ubi Soft Database by clicking the weblink in this email. Using your ubi.com login name, login to our database and add the file as an attachment to your incident. Kind Regards,Ubisoft Technical Support. i hope this will help you guys 2 becuaes it helpt me 2 good luck !! (i now my english is bad :P) |

For those running vista and have to notice like me that there is no slider in dxdiag. Try the following: browse your C drive for prog files/Ubisoft/engine/config
doubleclick BaseEngine file, scroll down to when you see your sounddevice (openAl for me-[ALAudio.ALAudioDevice]), lower MaxChannels (24 does nicely for me). Enjoy. |
