I just bought the game and installed on the computer. When starting the game the two splash screens come-up, go away, then nothing! Every time I start the game the same thing. It auto patched when I installed the game. My computer has more than enough power. I uninstalled and re-installed, restarted computer, same thing. Very frustrating specially since I just bought FarCry2 and it sucks too.

Same thing here, I got it to run once after upgrading my video card but messed up while tweaking the settings. It wouldn't run so I uninstalled and reinstalled six or more times with patches it has never run again since. I get the splash screen, the game connects and looks for updates on the web the cursor turns into a spinning cd, ...then nothing. Nothing I tried works, not updated drivers, not defrag, not registry cleaning, not cleaning out the temp files. I am really ready to reformat the hard drive, but if there is any other way I am ready to try almost anything. I've owned the game for a year and still haven't played it.

i have the same problem, but it get freezes when i start history mode..

terrorist hunt mode runs fine and perfect...

the game is in 1680x1050, high...


UBISOFT please gives us an answer

It is definitly the patch everyone i've talked to has said they hadd the issue occured after the patch was installed. I'm going to attempt to make contact with thier tech support and hopfully figure out how to roll back the update since reinstalling does not solve it. i noticed this is a self help forum so i don't thin UBI will be responding here.

I only got the the point where its got the two outlined soldiers walking (loading screen) and then i get the same message.
