XBOX 360 Rank Reset Issue – WorkAround

We thank you for your many posts on the subject of Rank Reset bug. We are currently fixing the issue, until you get the title update here are 3 workarounds to help you AVOID getting your rank reset.

There are 2 known ways that reset a player's rank on XBOX 360. Both involve having your guide open during the time before and at the title screen, and closing the guide while hitting start at the title screen. Here are some in-depth descriptions to help you avoid resetting your character.




Issue 1 scenario:

- You are NOT signed in with your profile while you launch the game.
- You open your 360 guide at the main R6V2 title screen to log in.
- You close your 360 guide and hit start JUST AS THE GUIDE IS GOING AWAY. (Image A)
- Your screen is brought to the initial PEC screen where you must select your gender. (Image C)




Issue 2 scenario:

- You ARE logged into your account while you launch the game.
- You open your 360 guide while seeing the Ubisoft logo or pre title screen animations. (Image B)
- You close your 360 guide and hit start JUST AS THE GUIDE IS GOING AWAY. (Image A)
- Your screen is brought to the initial PEC screen where you must select your gender. (Image C)





How to avoid resetting your rank:

- Sign in BEFORE launching the game (or set your profile to Auto-Sign-In).
- Do not open your 360 guide bar until after pressing start at the main title screen.
- If your console prompts you to select the storage device you wish to load from (normally if you have a memory card inserted), pick your storage device then wait a second before pressing start.
- If you see the initial "Gender Select" screen (Image C) without manually resetting your appearance, TURN OFF your console and reboot your system. If you select a gender while experiencing this issue, your character rank will be reset. Reboot your console instead.

wish I could of got this warning i dont know before yesterday when I was lieutenant colonel annd got reset but I guess this is good info for others. Since I have the officer achievement is there anyway you could give me the officer rank at least

Is anyone from ubisoft going to respond to their fans who already got screwed?

I feel its great your making a update but so many have already got reset and I have the officer achievement and unlock all weapons achievements and you need to fix what you wronged

I think this is shocking. Now i have to start all over again. I come home from work,start up the xbox to play this and see my character with none of my armour or clothing. I feel sorry for the elites but come on ubi you have to fix this guys.

Ubisoft, can't you do something with the achievements. If you have the officer acheivement you should be promoted back up to a warrant officer and if you are an elite (like me) you should be promoted back up to Elite.

I suspect at this stage until the fix is complete and ready to go live they wil not know all the answers to the questions you pose. That would be the only reason they remain unanswered

i knw people have lost their achivments and all including me, but in a way this could be gud because u will get twice the gamerscore

Is there a chance of me getting my Eltie rank back because i worked my butt off to get my 7k marksman and my elite rank so... I WANT TO BE ELITE AGAIN!!!!!

Dude I know how you feel I was an elite as well

what a joke half of us have all are achievements and cant get back officer or elite or gun collector you know this is gay.

wtf?????my xbox has been being repaired so i havent gotten to play rsv2 yet.....preorederd too by the way......i read that it took longer to get to elite in rsv2 than rsv1 how are yall elite already????seems a lil to easy or your lieing.

Does anyone know if your achievements will be lost?

Also, will this enable ou to get the private first class achievement if you skipped it since you played the old vegas?

you won't lose your achievements and you will be able to get the private first class achievement if you played the old vegas
