So I installed Raven Shield and patched to 1.6 and when I start the game it goes through the intro and crashes at the Ion Storm logo and the screen flickers.
My setup:
AMD X2 4400+
ASUS A8N-SLI Premium
2GB RAM
nVidia 7800 GTX
Audigy 2 ZS Premium

Try turning off AA in the nVidia control panel.

Hey AthosVaties. Install the amd dual core driver from the amd site. Rvs is a single threaded game(doesnt support dual cores)but windows will try and run it on 2 cores. Some amd processors have no problems and others do.

I had the same problem with the 3800+/x2. Even with the amd dual core optimizer(its just a switch in run boot.ini file /usepmtimer) it stuttered and puked. with the 4400+/x2 and 1 m cache on each core the driver is all you might need.

If the game stutters still, set the game to one core(affinity)in the task manager before you play the game.

Put cd in till the menu comes up to launch the game. Before you select "play ravenshield' open up task manager right click autorun.exe and select "set affinity" and uncheck one core then ok. Lauch game. Hope this helps.

I installed the AMD drivers and now it runs just fine.

No problem. Glad it worked.

I'm having the exact same problem.

Though I have the nVidia 8800GTX and the Intel E6700 core 2 duo.

No drivers from nVidia has helped so far.

Don't know about drivers from Intel, I can't seem to figure out what to take, maybe someone could help?

(Here this is what I could find, not really sure what it is though).

game started bfore applying all patches and upgrades.... after patch 1.60, and pbsetup update i will not start. I updated the video dirvers as well. Help pls
