It is very likely that your video card isn't supported by Vegas 2.
Most laptop cards aren't even though they pass the test. |

actually it supports my video card....its ndiva 8600 geforce, i just got it to work last night, my cousin helped me download some things and replaced the files and it started to work, and no it wasnt a crack

Glad you got it running!
I have a laptop with an 8700M GT and will also run it. Many laptops have integrated graphics and the reason for my previous post. |

EdgedShinobi, I'm suffering from same problem as you did (and I downloaded it via steam too). Can you tell me what your cousin did to solve the problem?

Oh, nevermind. It turned out to be an unicode problem which was supposed to be solved in 1.02 patch.

There are many things that can create your problem, both hardware and software.
It would be really difficult for anyone to come up with a solution without sitting down at your computer. Here are some things you can try: Make sure your game is patched to 1.03. I assume you have Vegas 2. Make sure your system meets minimun requirements. It won't run with a graphics card that doesn't support shader 3.0. Make sure drivers are up to date. Try installing the latest Direct X drivers, but use the redistributable, not the web update. http://www.microsoft.com/downl...2d553&displaylang=en Download the file Extract to a folder Find and run this file: DXSETUP.exe Create a folder to extract the files to as there are a ton of them. If you extract to your desktop be prepared for a surprise! |

how do u get the recommended computer frequency? u need 3.5 GHz. how do i get it?
cheers |
||||
|
That refers to your CPU (Central Processing Unit).
I think minimum is 3 GHz or equivalent. So an AMD 3000 + will work even though it runs at a slower clock speed. I have also seen it run on P4's with slower speeds, so it's best just to try it. The only way to get faster clock speeds is to upgrade your CPU or overclock. Here is a link to requirements: http://forums.ubi.com/eve/foru...1064316/m/1711062046 The main issue that comes up with this game is that your video card must support sharder 3.0. |
