I have a similar problem, i have slightly less ram and a slightly 'lower' GPU. But i dont really hear my drive make alot of noice, so i dont think its a ram problem.
What i did notice is, if i switch out of the application to the task manager, R6V2 is only using 50% cpu (1 core). And 1.83GHz is not quite the recommended 3.5GHz..
I'm getting the same thing as well. My rig is well within the recommended system spec, but the game is chuging no mater what video settings I use. If anyone comes up with a real solution that works I'd be much appreciated.

I've tried setting those options down to nil (640X480, no blur, no AA, etc.) yet it seems to have virtually no effect on framerate. Whenever I move or look around in game, the framerate still drops down to about 15.
I have the same problem. Detection tool says i meet all of the requirements. No matter what i've tried fiddling with, it does not change... it lags and is basically unplayable. COD4 worked for me fine, don't see why this game wouldn't. This needs to be resolved very soon, i was anxious for a month before release, now i have the game and... well, you know D:
this is because of the fact that it is a direct port from the 360, I played it on the 360 and the frame rate is about 25 fps on it. But i made some tweakings and shadows on medium and i get 60 fps now with Aa at one

I manually did some tweaks to the texture size etc, the legal tweak things. But yes, if my system meets the recommended settings, i dont expect i have to kick out all the fancy stuff just for it to run at more then 15fps, which is still piss-poor.
at 26 fps,the game feels very laggy.even crysis gives me 40 fps and this games graphics cant even be compared to crysis.shows that ubi dont care about their pc users anymore.
I got a fix for you guys that actually works since I was having the same problem.
Click Start Click Run Type "dxdiag" without quotes Click OK and wait to load Click on sound tab at top Slide the sound hardware accelerator all the way to the left so that acceleration is off. Exit everything. Reboot. Try game it should work great now. Did for me. Spread the word.
Having lag issues will not connect to host. Bad graphics. The game supports 6600gt cards but not enough to run the game without lag thats even with two cards in sli. So I got a 9600gt 512 mb 256 bit card and all the lag issues and connect issues went away also Im running vista 64. Its antialising at 4x and the game works fine now. The sound does seem to have issues still. Changed to speaker mode instead of stereo and seams to be working for now.
