Ok, so I have 2 computers on my network that have Rainbow Six Vegas 2 installed on them. One works perfectly (mine) and the other (my brother's) doesn't.
Both computers are hooked up to the same router, going through the same ISP, both have the same virus protection. The computer with the issue is my brother's, and when he tries to play an Online or LAN (yes, both) he'll get either of two errors: "Unable to Initialize Network Service" or "Connection to Host Failed" the latter of which happens when we actually get past the first error and he tries to join a server, it goes into loading, and then he is removed from the game before loading has finished. I have tried opening the ports on both firewalls, port forwarding, the drivers for both the video and NIC devices are up to date, and the game itself is up to date. We are in Texas, an as such, America, so English is always our default language. The offending computer is using Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit. If anyone has a solution to this, please let me know. Here is a portion of the DXDIAG post: ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 10/6/2009, 15:51:18 Machine name: BUHNANANAS-PC Operating System: Windows Vista™ Ultimate (6.0, Build 6000) (6000.vista_gdr.090302-1506) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: HP Pavilion 061 System Model: RC663AA-ABA a1640n BIOS: Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6300 @ 1.86GHz (2 CPUs), ~1.9GHz Memory: 2046MB RAM Page File: 770MB used, 3540MB available Windows Dir: C:\Windows DirectX Version: DirectX 10 DX Setup Parameters: Not found DxDiag Version: 6.00.6000.16386 32bit Unicode --------------- Display Devices --------------- Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS Manufacturer: NVIDIA Chip type: GeForce 7900 GS DAC type: Integrated RAMDAC Device Key: Enum\PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0292&SUBSYS_0429196E&REV_A1 Display Memory: 1016 MB Dedicated Memory: 248 MB Shared Memory: 767 MB Current Mode: 1440 x 900 (32 bit) (60Hz) Monitor: Generic PnP Monitor Driver Name: nvd3dum.dll Driver Version: 8.16.0011.9107 (English) DDI Version: 9Ex Driver Attributes: Final Retail Driver Date/Size: 9/27/2009 16:12:22, 7614056 bytes WHQL Logo'd: Yes WHQL Date Stamp: Device Identifier: {D7B71E3E-41D2-11CF-4D59-22241EC2C535} Vendor ID: 0x10DE Device ID: 0x0292 SubSys ID: 0x0429196E Revision ID: 0x00A1 Revision ID: 0x00A1 Video Accel: ModeMPEG2_A ModeMPEG2_C ModeVC1_B ModeWMV9_B ModeVC1_A ModeWMV9_A Thanks ahead of time. |
