For this achievement I had no issues, as well as others I helped through the story. Did you check every scene for the realistic boxed checked off, not just tabbing through the levels, but each individual scene? Not saying you didn't, just a thought Check each scene in each level. |

I didnt get the achievment for private first class either becuase i was Elite on vegas 1. Ubisoft need to sort it along with the rest of the glitches in the game.

I was hoping this wasn't the case, but I just looked at the profile of that guy who posted screenshots of his leaked game (gamertag: sp3k). You can see that he doesn't have the PFC achievement even though he was showing off the unlocked gear. This is nothing though, really. I'm sure it's easily fixed and I wouldn't be surprised if it unlocks when you get the officer achievement.[/QUOT Sorry ti burst your bubble but I got the Officer Achievment and yet still no PFC Achievment |

i've read 6 pages of this thread...and i've seen 1 ubi official post on this (that uk forum manager dude, not even sure if he's a ubi official anyways...) if this is a tech support forum why isnt any ubisoft officials posting on this? obviously theres alot of people pissed about this. you'd think they'd let us know whats going on. i feel like calling ubi soft. im sure i can find a number somewhere.

Ubisoft has horrible support. If you followed any of the forums from R6V1 about the bugged achievements, they didn't do squat in response or in terms of fixing them.
As the PFC achievement goes, I doubt ubisoft will even do anything. Sure we have the gear, got it when we got our extras for having exp in R6V1, that's why we got it. We automatically received xp and boom - ranked past the PFC level. Like those that glitched on R6V1 with taking another profile with a higher rank and signing out then back in with their lower ranked character - they could jump to Elite without really doing anything, but depending on where they jumped from (rank wise) they missed out on the officer achv and others. It's a bug. We'll see if Ubisoft cares or not. They still don't give a damn about the buggy special ops achv in R6V1, why would they care about another here for R6V2? Hell, Ubisoft - if you care just respond to this forum that you care and you are working on it. Oh, and next time you release a version 2 that is basically some new playlists and new maps - just do a download pack, would have worked the same. There wasn't much improvement to the graphics or main engine, just the shooting through objects addition and how the experience was gained. More like a shivering isles pack - worth about half the cost of the first game. |

Hey all
I've not personally had chance to try this one out yet but know many who have and report it working so here you go....

I replied to this already but I deleted the post because I didn't read yours properly.
To play it safe I'm going to recover my gamertag to my brother's 360 to begin with, and then do everything you just posted so I can keep my savegames once I recover my gamertag to my own 360 again. I'll post here once I'm done to tell everyone if it works or not. |

It took a bit longer than I expected, but here's how I even bypassed the loss of my savegames. I will explain it as well as I possibly can for those who don't understand why this trick works.
Before anything, I recovered my Live Account on a different hard disk (my brother's) This allowed me to keep my savegames. I suggest you find a friend who's willing to lend you their hard disk for about an hour if you wish to keep your savegames. [Edit: You can, of course, also ask someone else to do this for you by recovering your gamertag to their console. You will not be in control of what this person does (making mistakes or simply abusing your account), of course, so I don't recommend it. 1. This is probably the most important step of all. Sign OUT of Xbox Live. To be sure, unplug the network cable or wireless adapter from your Xbox so it doesn't sign onto Live automatically by accident. 2. Do the rank reset trick as is explained here. Because you are not connected to Xbox Live, no rank resetting information will be sent to the grand server. 3. Work your way up to Private First Class. Here, too, you must stay offline. The achievement will unlock, though it won't be uploaded to Xbox Live yet. 4. As soon as you get the achievement, return to the Xbox 360 dashboard. It is vital you are no longer in your game after this step. 5. Sign into Xbox Live. By doing this, your achievement will be uploaded, but because the game is no longer running, no information about your rank will be sent anywhere. 6. This is where I deleted ALL my account information from the harddisk I borrowed. 7. I popped my own hard disk back in and recovered my gamertag from Xbox Live, which now has the unlocked achievement. 8. I boot up the game, and there is my Elite. I have not deleted a single savegame from any game and I have all the achievements unlocked. I hope this clears things up at least a little bit. Keep in mind, this trick was done with two hard disks. If you don't have a second hard disk or a memory stick, you'll have to delete your entire account and delete your savegames before retrieving it again. Any questions will be answered to the best of my ability, if there are any. This message has been edited. Last edited by: MisterMurphy, |

I wish I could get Freedom Shall Prevail.. I am about to give up on it. I have beat the game from start to finish on realistic 4 times. First was coop (Bishop).. second on coop as Bishop, third on single player, and fourth was coop as Knight. All the scenes have checks next to them.. Each time on coop my partner got the achievement.. /sigh.. Anyone got any ideas? (I've tried most solutions that people have posted, be the one to shoot the "boss" at the end, replay the first mission as Knight/Bishop..)

I can help people with PFC, but I'm afraid Freedom Shall Prevail is still a big mystery to me (and everyone else, probably, seeing how most people seem to unlock it at pretty random times).

Here's something even more interesting! If you can help me out I would appreciate it. For some reason, every time I log out of R6V2 and log back in, my stats have automatically reset and I'm back to PFC. What's even more interesting is that I had only enough prior EXP on R6V1 to get me to PFC, and I still didn't get the achievement. My first concern: Why isn't my progress saving? My 2nd: Well, this achievement glitch is more serious than we first thought... |
||||
|
I have no idea why your progress isn't saving. As for the PFC glitch, a patch has been released a few weeks ago that unlocks the achievement if the rank has been, at any point, achieved or passed.
|
||||
|
It's probably already been said but I'm 99.9% sure the PFC glitch was fixed within a few months.
