I have been a GR player since the beginning and I am a bit concerned about some of the changes.
Here is a few of the changes: #1 -Starting in Ghost recon 2 a new camera angle was added(over the shoulder view). -Now instead of relying on reflexes and strategic thinking, you can simply sit behind a wall with your invisible shoulder camera and see everything around you, or see over a hill before you even get to it. -you do have the option to set yourself back into 1st person but then your at a major disadvantage. #2 -In ghost recon 1 you could equip yourself with motion sensors that could be placed in order to detect enemy movement. #3 -In ghost recon 1 you could jump to the ground instantly to dodge enemy fire. -In ghost recon 2 if you wanted to get on the ground, you can slowly get on your knees, then slowly get on your stomach. Your more likely to survive standing up straight in the open, then trying to lay down on the ground. The "2" in ghost recon 2 would imply that it is an improvement from the first, although it is a still a decent game there have been so many changes it doesn't deserve the name. The graphics are incredible but that doesn't justify the changes. This change has begun to divide the community, not to mension professional gaming on GR2 is almost non existent compared to GR1. Please respond, all feedback is welcome and please state which game you started on. |

Well consider it a reminder, and I would like to keep it as a current issue that needs fixing.

1. The OTS view gives your character a sense of immersion and gives you peripheral vision. You didn't really have these in GR1. You were just a floating camera that shot bullets. Being able to see around rocks is cheap, but it's really no different than laying in a corner behind a wall and waiting for someone to walk in front of you (i.e. GR1). The rushers still rush and the campers still camp. The gameplay is just a bit faster this time around.
2. I miss sensors too. 3. You must be a bit slow on the D-Pad because people have no trouble hitting the dirt in the rooms I play in. _________________ Gamertag: Skullgrind |

I dont know how you managed to compare the two games without mention the tac map at all. In GR1 being able to give your squad mates exact waypoints, and ROE that stuck. Now if you get too far from Bravo they simply come running back.I dont know how often I've told them to hold fire and what do they do FIRE!!! The stealthy approach is almost non existant in GR2, and it is purely a console game. What's sad is that basic elements from GR1 like the tac map, and a better sence of ROE, would have made this game great. I guess I figured these were no brainer, staple elements to GR and, they set the game apart from the sea of running and gunning shooters that quite frankly... bore me.
