I noticed some confusion over various incorrect weapons lists floating around, so I thought I would clarify things.
Weapons are broken into two groups, Player & Enemy. In the SP campaign, you can choose from Player weapons (and pick up Enemy weapons from dead enemies). Unlike GR2, all player weapons are available starting at the first mission. ALL weapons are available in MP (unless restricted by the host). All weapons from GR2 and DLC are in GR2:SS, with new weapons added. Some weapons have been updated with more regionally appropriate versions (like the AK-74M from the T-87A, which is pretty much just a swap from 5.8mm to 5.45mm). Without further ado, here is your list (new GR2:SS weapons are in itallics): PLAYER WEAPONS Rifleman A2 Carbine A2 Scoped M8 Carbine SA-80 FAMAS G36K SCAR-L Carbine SCAR-L CQC SD SCAR-H Rifle MP5 SD M8 Compact Grenadier M16/M203 A2/M320 M8/M320 SA-80/AG36 SCAR-L/M320 SCAR-H/M320 FAMAS/M203S Gunner M240B LMG Mk 46 SAW M8 AR MG4 MG36 AS56 SAW Mk 48 LMG Marksman M14 DMR SPR-468 M8 Sharpshooter FAMAS G2S SCAR-H SV LRS 338 SL9 SD MSG-90 Lone Wolf M29 FELIN FV2 M25 AAW Pistols M1911 M1911 SD M9 M9 SD Anti-Armor M3A2 MAAWS Additional Equipment M67 Grenade Demo Charge M18A1 Claymore Laser Designator M183 Satchel Charge ENEMY WEAPONS Rifleman AK-47 AK-74M T-95 Carbine A91 CAR Grenadier AK-47/T91 T-95/T91 AK-74/GP30 Gunner RPD LMG QJY-88 LMG T-95 LMG PKM LMG Marksman SKS 84-M SVD Sniper KBU-88 Sniper SVU Sniper Lone Wolf T-95P System Pistols QSZ-92 QSZ-92 SD T-54 T-54 SD Anti-Armor PF-89 LAW Additional Equipment T-86 Grenade T-01A Claymore T-89 Satchel Charge Lastly, to clarify, the M4 Carbine has been renamed the A2 Carbine. SD at the end of a weapon name means it is has a suppressor. We have also added some new Kit Restrictions into the game, for MP players to have more options in they types of load outs they want to allow. |

I would just like to know if the pistols will come with more functional in-game sighting than the sighting system used now in GR2. The pistol sighting in GR2 is a joke...I believe you could sling a rock or use a slingshot with more accuracy than is now possible with the current sights!

As I mentioned, the T-87A has been updated to the more regionally appropriate AK-74M. |

im not familiar with the scar or whatever you call it but will its sd version be simular to an m4/sd? only reason i ask is because, while i love the addition of the mp5sd and its helped me be stealthy it just lacks in stopping power sometimes. im hoping that this scar will give me a little more bang for my buck in terms of stopping power. any explanation would be appreciated...

The CQC SD version of the SCAR is a short-barrelled 5.56x45mm carbine with a suppressor attached. It has more stopping power than the MP5 SD.

Christian,
Many thanks for publishing the authoritative list. WOW. I (probably like everyone else) only play with about a dozen of my favorite weapons, and seeing ALL 70 listed here really makes the point that the GR series offers wide variety like few other games. Thanks Again to you and your fellow dev's. Keep up the great work. -Jam |

i would like to know why the standard M16 is not in the game.why is it only got the grenade launcher attachment on it.i only get to use it when people turn on explosives.i want to be able to use it without explosives.i know you guys can easily mod and code it into the game.hell for pc i could.

I miss some of the weapons from the 1st GR games, particularly the PSG-1, M82, M98, M24, and L96 snipers, the M60 and MG3 machine guns, the Bizon, and the FnFAl.
However, the new weapons are cool and I'm looking forward to the SCAR. XBL Gamertag: UziPackinPimp |

now im excited about the weapons but everyone just listen to my idea for a second, now in the real world suppressors are made for almost every gun, m4's, m9's, m16's, even .50 cal. sniper rifles, why not have and option in the weapon selection thing to have a suppressor on ur gun, cause if the ghost realy were a secret military squad i dont think they would want everyone know where they're shooting from
