THIS POST MIGHT CONTAIN SPOILERS!!!

Dear all,

being an avid player of Ghost Recon, I literally spent hours and hours on the first GR-game for the Xbox360. The single-player was challenging and sometimes quite impossible and the multi-player was really fun especially after shelling out a few hundred Microsoft-points on mappack2.

Me and my friends played the coop's for fun on ridicilous settings like pistols only and the hardest settings.

Then came GRAW2. Highly anticipated. Lots of DEV-video's. Extreme graphics. I pre-ordered and bought it, thinking it was good. Well, I was mistaken.

Single-player campaign: with lousy playing on my behalf, completed in about 7 hours. The support given, like tanks or friendlies, was ****. They are there but sometimes have a hard time shooting a soldier on open ground while I can take him with a headshot, on Elevated Difficulty, at 110 metres.

Well, so far 9 out of 9 campaign-achievements. Elevated Risk was even more easy than the Hardest setting in GRAW1. It took only 11 (!!!) retries to finish the total campaign.

Now I started on the Quick Missions, but getting those achievements is easy but weird? I completed a mission with 100% accuracy but because the game thought I also had requirements for another achievement, only one was awarded. WTF?? I finished a mission 99.99% perfect but only 1 achievement was given.

Multi-player: I don't play that. The only thing I like is the Co-Op campaign but that only contains 6 maps. I already finished 2 and, believe it or not, even when starting with 4 Ghosts, you are able to finish half the map on your own, when your mates are dead.

I guess we'll be through all 6 maps this weeks. Nice, another 160 points gained with a total score of around 650 when you're not playing in other multiplayer-modes.

And that's it?

Sory Ubisoft, but this game blows. Even with the free faceplate (which doesn't suit the rest of my AV-equipment) it think it is easy money on your behalf when games are getting sold for around 60 Euro and you can finish it in 48 hours of play.

I also experienced numerous crashed while all my other games run fine so my console does not seem to be the blame in this matter.

Now I have to wait? For what? Mappack 2? 800 MS-points? No new achievements?

Seriously, if anyone feels the same or, if Ubi wants, wants to talk about it, please do so in this thread but I think we're being ripped off buying a game that lasts "a few hours" for anyone that doesn't necessarily goes for the multiplayer matches!

I haven't completed the game yet, but so far I'm thinking it's a little on the easy side. I don't care because the game is still awesome, so no complaints here.

I haven't played the single player yet. But My one complaint about multiplayer is the emphasis on auto fire, not the mindless run and gun. This is supposed to be a tactical shooter. A Little slower, you gotta think. Single shot should be alot more accurate than the auto fire. I'm tired of the whining little kids getting their way cause they think its to hard. Whats wrong with a little challenge?

So far I think the game is spectacular, but I do have one complaint:

Why was the cover system left out of the multiplayer?

I would be impressed if Ubisoft went out of its way to implement it in a patch. Thanks to xbox live and hard drives, this is now possible. If only companies cared enough, that would make GRAW2 PERFECT!

I played all the previous Ghost Recon games with much pleasure, and I must say, I was hesitant at first by how much different the game was, but I do enjoy it a lot. Sure, some patches could be used, but aside from that it's very fun. I'd like to see the multiplayer and single player modes patched to be a little more similar.

What's this about a free faceplate?

Ye I agree. Completed the game in about 5 hours. The first GRAW was miles harder.

Another thing that winds me up with GRAW 2 is when you try and play on line. It takes about n hour to get into a game that works, just like it did on the first one. You'd thought that Ubisoft would have sorted it out. I dont understand it tho cos R6 V works fine on line.

Very disappointed in Ubisoft

I came to a glitch in the game today that bugged the hell out of me, near the end of the game when you have to shoot down the 2 choppers, for some reason i'd shoot down 2 choppers and it would only register as shooting down 1. I restarted from last saved point over and over again and even redid the mission and still couldn't get it to work, but eventually it worked. The game definitely has flaws, but maybe some patches and expansion packs will help this game live up to expectations

im not much of a GRAW2 multi-player, but ive checked out the single map available for demo a couple of times. what i found was a lot of sprinting to destinations, and i lost a sense of realism in the combat. i also couldnt turn very well, and felt this disadvantage very annoying. why not have just as big a battle field but run at the same pace of rainbow six. what i imagined of ghost recon was a long insertion over a massive battlefield. i like to snipe as much as i could and wish to hold back on a battlefield, so spawning at the opposites would aide the snipers, but as a sniper goes toward the center of the action, the very fast pace of everyone makes is soo dificult for an escape.
additionally, this maybe a noob post, but are there multiple spawns?
also, it would be nice to have a weapon chosen before battle. i dont feel as readied is i do with the rainbow6vegas mp.

This is definitely more of a GRAW 1.5 than a full 2.0.

The graphics engine, yes has had a nice overhaul, but is still p*ss-poor in the multiplayer side of things. Come on now.. the same old Mexican NPCs from the first game - and the way they skip around everywhere erratically? The copy/pasting of vegetation/trees? Even just the textures - it all screams half-heartedness to me.

Even forgetting the graphical annoyances for a minute to focus on gameplay - the element that really counts - in single player, although clumbersome and incredibly easy, was quite immersive. Multiplayer on the other hand... what the hell happened? It's almost like switching from Operation Flashpoint to Quake.

The run speed needs toning down a tad, ok, a lot, perhaps even by implementing a slider which the host can set at the beginning of a game, controlling the movement speed. This way the run & gunners can have their Quakefest rooms whilst the rest of us can play it semi-realistically.

Achievement-wise this game can be beat in a week, the only skillful one in the whole game was "kill 5 people in 30 seconds".

I happily paid for the mappack last time around, but this time it appears i'll feel like i've been there, done that, nothing new to see here.

Here's hoping GRAW3 is an instalment Clancy would be proud having his name attached to.

If you go to the option menu once in the single-player menu there is a section called downloaded content, and when you go to it, it says no single player content has been added, so hopefully they release some new missions for the single player costing no greater than 800 points

I was disappointed also - it was too easy!

I think Ubisoft worked well on the game but Ubisoft knows Online Play is what's usually done on G.R.A.W. 2 & they made that well; but didn't work well on the Campaign itself. A little overpriced in my opinion do to the lack of difficulty; but still worth checking into.

If you do not play multiplayer you cant really comment then. WHat you have to understand is this isnt the 8, 16, or 32 bit gaming system era anymore. People want to play against other people, or with other people. SO single player games somewhat take a backseat, the single player in this isnt bad. But if you do not play onlin you are missing out HUGE. Most gamers are online these days, and you cant say your disappointed if you do not use one of the biggest features of the game. Thats like saying I hate my new house, there isnt enough room, but I refuse to go upstairs and use those rooms because I hate going up there. How can you say the house has no room if you wont use the whole thing. Same goes for this game.

They said why the cover system isnt here. It isnt practical on these maps. M ost of these are round, rock surfaces, or trees and such, and the maps are arena in fashion. THese are indoor environments with flat borders and walls. Hiding with your back to a tree or rock wont work, and its pointless. Besides, all it would turn into is a camp fest. Rainbow six sucks. People go into hallways with one entrance, shut off grenades and sit with their backs to the wall. If your fighting outdoors, you wont turn ur back to a tree. The lean function works beautifully if you know what your doing.

I agree with the fact the game play blows. No one is ever online 2 play, mostly on rainbow. My rooms constantly get dropped and the mics r **** when people come n2 the rooms. Half the time some can hear and other times they can't. I love the game but there r alot of problems with it and need 2 b fixed ASAP!! My clan would love 2 play matches but we r afraid the rooms will get dropped during the match or some1 can't hear, or the fact that some1 can b facing another direction, c u, go 2 turn around and fire and the bullets will still hit and kill u even b4 the person completely turns around.. Come on Ubisoft, sorry but the lack of completion of a good game is going down hill
