Go read my post on punksbusted.com a few weeks ago regarding the first cheater I caught in Vegas 2 the day it came out. After that response I really can't support Punksbusted.com. Because they asked you to follow the rules that they have set with regards to posting PB screenshots that include GUID's? They do it for a reason and a good one. If you go to PBBans they have the same policy as well.

ROFL what the hell good is a screenshot when you can't warn the other admins with a GUID so they can ban them too? Punksbusted staff showed their utter lack of intelligence when they compared a 7 year R6 admin with a history of contributing to the R6 server community (including the only working silent anti-cheat for RvS) to some random joe posting out of the blue accusing someone. What if I did that if a SCE admin or someone from ICB squad came to me with a cheater? Should I tell them they're full of **** and imply they could have doctored the screenshot and ruin "Mr. Gold.." Had the staff at Punksbusted done their research they might have not sounded as stupid as they did in that reply.

See unlike a bunch of morons on a irrevelant website that make these bold sweeping uneducated misinformed statements and ASSume that someone who is a respected member of the Vegas 2 Admin community could be forging screenshots, I actually take into consideration who the person is that says a player is cheating. Simple common sense wouldn't you think? I mean it's not like SCE, Squadgames, Ti, ICB, etc. were just formed yesterday with a goal to go around falsely accusing cheaters.

The statements from punksbusted were stupid, intolerable, and utterly worthless. They even went so far to say, "Well even if the pope posted..." bull... if the Pope posted I assure you they would have listened. What a bunch of idiots and the audacity for you to defend not only their absurd statements but also a policy that fundamentally favors cheaters is rediculous. Is it because they're completely oblivious or arrogant or a little of both?

Had I not gone forward with continuing to post VALID screenshots with GUIDs we would have had the few Vegas 2 servers up infected with scores of cheaters.

Banning cheaters on all the populated servers Vegas 2 servers is working just fine using a SENSIBLE policy established by Squadgames and the community WITHOUT punksbusted whose policy favors the cheaters. As far as Vegas 2 is concerned they're completely irrevelant and have been taken out of the loop thank GAWD.

No we're doing just fine without Punksbusted.

The LAST thing the vegas 2 community needs is a pseudo anti-cheat website trying to follow the policies of UBI customer service and apply it to the Vegas 2 anti-cheat community.

If you don't mind I think I will continue to run the show on this one with the support of the other Vegas 2 Admins. I have found the character of every Vegas 2 admin to be much more "legit" and "honest" then any admin from Punksbusted I have conversed with so far.

Were you SERIOUS when you made that reply?

NOTE: For the record I cannot include PBBANS in the same catagory as Punksbusted because I have had no communication with them whatsoever regarding this topic.

It's nice to have it on the main site just incase a new admin misses it on one community site it they can find out the information on the general site.

Aside from that it's relevant to the Vegas 2 general community because it addresses a key fundamental issue that is on topic with the forum and it's guidelines. If anything positive can come out of UBI right now it's the fact the forum admins here haven't locked, moved, deleted, or censored this thread regarding cheaters. It's obvious they're savvy and very much aware of who is posting what because they're educated and in touch with the community they service. If anything they should be commended more then anyone else for helping prevent cheating with this thread.

I honestly haven't seen their site listed in public since the RVS days. They lost most of their credibility when their "unbeatable" screenshot detection system was owned in a matter of hours. Then they tried to lie for a couple months and tell everyone they still had a magic internal solution for validating images. Finally punksbusted admitted they were lying about their capabilities and slowly began their descent. I'm guessing punksbusted is only still around because they have a secondary purpose on their private forums, like trading pedobear images.

is it just me paranoid or players with same prefix ex: (ss) player1 (ss) player2 , always come up in high scoring? is it possible that those players use some kinda group cheat that they gain fast kills or aims bots ex: u try to kill em for a while and all they do is very easyly kill u in one shot in a few secs no matter were the hell they seem to shoot or they shoot from (sniping). i got a big scope on my gun that makes the enemy head bigger but that came with the rank i gained even then they seem to never die no matter how much bulllets they receive. i have a big armor and big gun too but dont seem to have the same effect of kills as those guys would have. my rank is artillery sargent. y post is nto to complain but just asking my self alots of questions whether its just me poor shooter or some clan with some group cheats so they always seem to have high ranks.

To hack in a game against AI is as pathetic as it gets. Mind you hacks of any kind in any game are pathetic. Everyone has to keep in mind that these are done by little 12 year olds that haven't even had their nuts drop yet. I actually laugh at these little kids at times becasue they are the ones who ultimately fail at all aspects of life.

i'll resume my lat post cause it had some typoneese: some group / clan with the same prefix ex: [ss] player1 [ss] player2 etc. tend to always have the highest ranks and top scorers in any game i go in. so i just wondered it might be fair to say that they use all the same hack to get fast kills ( aimbot) even when the pretend they dont, the way they shoot at you show with no doubt they use cheats, even if i dont have proof like you ppl do with SC. anyways, its just getting pathetics are those kids ruin the whole fun of the game, cheating like cowards who dont have the courage to play fair like the rest of us. hope this clears it up

u guys want to talk about cheaters go play ghost recon (original).

that game was ruined by cheaters and exploit abuse. hackers could boom (close) any server they wanted by making the server ghostrecon.exe send null data.
therefore kicking all players from the room, this could be done to all servers. when u actually get into the room retlock and names are rife, gameplaywise its more of a problem then vegas 2 because in vegas 2 everyone basically has retlock and is in rambo mode anyway but in ghost recon where players actually have to aim u notice it. as for the notion of all hackers and cheater are 12, that is unfortunaly untrue newb servers u have more chance for getting a GG, fair. its in the tourneyments set up by several sites (i wont mention which ones) that are bad. the cheaters where the *top* players or clans and either knew or where admins from the sites. cheats ruined that game dont let them ruin this one.

a master ban list is a good idea, we need to make it easier for the averages joe player to detect if someone is cheating (using PB), make the information known(anti cheat server guides) and then act on that info(master ban list).

Specter-CPT unless that video isn't realtime then without a doubt that guy is speed hacking. Toss me his GUID and I'll put it in the banlist.

I am going to make an attempt this week to setup a masterban list site for Vegas 2 so it's more automated.

I asked punksbusted if they would review the video and check to see if it was a speed hack, they have not responded... But their rules indicate that video is too difficult to guarantee that it is the player that you see so they dont ban for videos.
