You need to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, so this will get some visibility. Thousand's of gamers paid 60.00 per game, only to have it not work. This is fraud. File with the FTC. I know I've spent quite a bit of money on Ubisoft games, only to have them not work correctly.

Edited: Removed comment about class action and lawyer. I don't advocate a class action as a first resort, only a last resort.

Here is the contact information for Ubisoft that is required on the FTC form.

I hope they do fix it. But fact of the matter is they released a product the doesn't not work as advertised. Not just for some people, but a vast majority of people. They have basically committed fraud.
Officially, Ubisoft, needs to make a statement about this problem, and how they are going to fix it. Not the moderators, of this forum. That is NOT an official response to a serious flawed game, who users have spent millions of dollars.

FILE THE COMPLAINT. And if you are a user from another country, and have a government consumer protection group, and are having issues with this game, FILE A COMPLAINT.

It doesn't cost you anything. It's FREE. Unlike this game.

Don't wait for them to do something. Take Action now. If you are a U.S. Resident, then make a compliant.

If not to the FTC, then look up your State Consumer Protection Agency, and file a compliant.

Thank you for clarifying that.

Has there been an official response or press release from the Ubisoft Corporation as to the problem with this game, posted on their website?

I don't know what the official company response is at this point.

If so, please provide a link.

Now, what I am about to say doesn't convey the opinions or beliefs of Ubisoft. This is my own personal opinion.

A patch takes more then 1 week to be released. First off, they have to gather reports from users as to what exactly the problem is. Then, they have to do trouble shooting steps to see what, if anything, fixes the problem. Then, they have to go into the game's code, and find the problem there! Once they do that, they have to change the code, and they have to test it to make sure it agrees with the rest of the games code. This isn't an overnight thing. And you are failing to realize that. These things take a while.

Now, you may argue "Oh, well they should have done testing!" I'm sure they did testing. The problem is, most testing takes place on a sort of LAN, not on the internet. So, they may not have found the problem with the server.

I think everyone is over reacting. You haven't even given them a chance to fix the game yet. Give them time.

Not trying to be mean and all but your right when you say a patch doesn't come out of nowhere but i mean this problem shouldn't of occurred in the first place. I don't give a **** i spent hard earn cash, bought 2 copies of this crappy game and i cant play it. You said testing on lan, well you probably right but what dumb company doesn't test there stuff on online to see if it even works. Thats ridiculous statement. Smart companies don't just test stuff on Lan and hope it works online. So please don't even bring that **** over here. When you spend $120 on a video game that doesn't even work please come to me and tell me about how bogus this is.

The patch aint going to come out for the next month so i advise everyone to get a new game plain and simple. Im pissed off at them and thats how its going to stay. They take there precious time and they will just look at us everyday.

Even though my copy seems to work online for the Xbox 360 I'm disgusted at the Ubisoft for how they released the game in this manner. This is definitely going to affect my future purchases, for those who having troubles you have my sincerest concerns and best wishes.

PS: Make sure you stop buying Ubisoft product this will teach them a lesson. I personally will not buy anymore and I keep my word. Damn Ubisoft I have to treat you like EA now.

which is why they should have done a public beta test online instead of releasing the game as one

It is definitely going to affect future purchases, i should of look at the forum before buying this game. half the people can't play the game, this is ridiculous, and to Moderators i dont give a darn what you think. Please go buy RSV2 and see for yourself. $120 i spent both copies dont work. When ENDWAR comes out im going to Record me BURNING IT TO THE GROUND AND STOMPING ON IT'S ASHES. I want everyone to see that.
