guys im ****t, after i instaled the 1.03 patch im getting random connection(f***ing)lost windows

1. I CAN PLAY ONLINE i just cant stay 4 long
2. i have punkbuster on
3. upnp off
4. my nets is 1mb and workin perfectily
5. I use a router

Ive tried everything, i opend the ports,i made a DMZ on my computer(it crashed me to the desktop once also),i connected my computer directly to the modem.

and i had no problems when i was playng on 1.02

i marked how long i stayed on 4 attempts of playing:

1. 12' 56'' - t hunt - 207 ping
2. 4' 11'' - versus - 270 ||
3. +10' - || - 190 ||
4. 56'' - it just lost connection on the server browser thingi

Now about ur prob. try delete ur profile folder and reinstall this mediocre Piece o $h!T of multimedia product called Rainbow Six Vegas2.

If that doesn't help , well.... return da game and save your money for the incoming new multimedia products that really works.

But it's your call.

No I don't hate a multimedia Product , is not about HATE dude

Don't misunderstand or read me wrong about the rights and common feeling as acostumer and as a Software Developer.

It's about "the ways" a "Company" move toward and aproach their costumers and provide support and developed Quality products .

Now.... do you get the Point


So when you feel to .... and realize this and try to fix your Multimedia product and understand how "mediocre fixes" afects the code .
And Then "maybe ... just maybe... you will start to understand how a multimedia Product works and your computer too

Do you use a software firewall ?
Sometimes those firewalls block executable files if there CRC/file size changes, this block(s) can be activated quit randomly (i.e. not immediately after game launch).

Also this patch added a new port (if I remember correctly, read the patch readme) that may need to be opened (adding a exception) in both you router and firewall.

Switch off all unnecessary applications running in the background such as AV, Firewall, Multi Media, Xfire, etc. etc. and try again.

Try to run a dxdiag as well with all tests to see it theres any problems (Win+R and type "dxdiag")

In msconfig *hit Win+R Type "msconfig"* (if everything else fail) go to "startup" and choose to deactivate all. Reboot and now fire up your game.

If it still fails the go into services.msc (Hit Win+R type services.msc) and check that the services PnkBstrA and PnkBstrB is running (if not start them both) and fire up your game.
If you can't find those two services then goto http://punkbuster.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.php and download the PB setup utility.

Finally you could always download a Packet Tracer program that are able to loop/monitor packages sent and received, if your loosing allot of packages then you should contact your ISP.

Hmm the order of the above is not entirely correct, but I'll leave it to you to figure it out.
