im tired of hearing pple say we need this or that no militant camo weapon mods or other mondain garbage features that wouldnt make this a better game WE NEED NEW MAPS brand new maps not vegas 1 maps or raven shield maps in order for this game to become more popular and better for the true rb6 fans we need atleast 6 new maps and before the end of the summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I concur. New maps are needed. Any maps old or new would be most welcome. I'd be willing to pay for throwback maps or new, either way please do something.

  • Even for a flop on pc i got to admit that the vision of the artist(s) for Vegas is beyond speech. What i am seeing in game now is by far the best i have seen in any other game for realism. (coding) was the problem.

    I agree that we need new maps, but Vegas 2 also has problems with the game and SADS that need to be fixed.

    The maps we have now are mostly all remakes, so some completely new maps would add new life!
    But .. without the fixes, Vegas 2 will die anyway!

    Hey Lethal,

    If you're interested in making maps with some of the assets (textures/UVs) that came with Vegas 2, try downloading TEXMOD (I can't provide a link because that's against forum rules)

    Anyway, you can find a way to rip textures out of Vegas 2 and use them in other games like Unreal Tournament 3 or Gears of War.

    I've started the process of improving the Vegas 2 materials textures by applying different normal maps (aka UV) to them so that they have more depth. Ultimately, when I package the textures and custom normal maps together, I get a very nice material that is truly representative of the quality that Unreal Engine 3 is able to achieve.

    Now, as far as putting the textures/materials back into Vegas 2.... Not possible (AFAIK).

They consider us liars and really don't give a **** what we want. Sorry, but it is the sad truth. We are wasting our time. It is time to move on to another game and forget Ubisoft exists because they will never learn to listen to the customer. They simply listen to the other people who work for the company who might play the games. They simply place no value whatsoever on whatever it is we have to say. Sorry you are wasting your time and your energy.

    If I am wrong, then I challenge Ubisoft to prove that I am wrong by giving us what we are asking for.

    1. the game was out for 3 months and we got a map pack thats quicker than any game this year or last year cod and halo took 5 and 6 months the game now is only out for 4 months u honestly dont think there will be another map pack im sure they are working on one as we speak its not easy to create a bunch of maps with every game mode and other details and to say no ones listening is very stupid just because they dont go and correct every stupid little problem that these kids have w the game doesnt meant they aint listening they created this website to get feedback on this game not to please every little crybaby who only gets satisfaction in there life by complaining about things they know wont be changed and blaiming ubisoft

    1. "new maps"? The developer just had to go in and change the Brightness value of Actor.Skylight and alter the SkyDome mesh with a different one. Maybe FalloffExponent in the SkyLight. Oh, and a few lights that would turn on at night. This takes 3 months you say?

    (Well, I guess that with graduates from 2-year community college at Ubisoft, that IS a successful feat...)

    2. I think he does know what he's talking about. Ok, so maybe someone at Ubisoft IS listening (I'm sure bukowski and kleaneasy are "listening"... "LISTENING" in VERY BIG QUOTES Frown ), but no one developer-side aren't showing that they're acting on it.

  • Valve listens to its customers instantly and if there's a serious bug (like uh, High Stakes mode not sticking into the next round), it's immediately fixed in the next hotfix (usually weekly for Valve).
  • CryTek released a patch for Crysis that corrected some bugs, but there were no serious bugs that Vegas 2 had. Also, patches that Crysis had didn't create NEW bugs that caused players NOT TO BE ABLE TO RUN THE GAME.
  • Epic Inc. releases a beta patch every 1-3 weeks addressing new bugs that players find. They do extensive beta testing.

    Ok, three examples isn't good enough for you? Typing I'm sure the other forum dwellers here would be more than happy to point out a more multitude of examples (2K Games just popped into my mind...)

    3. Calling us "every little crybaby" that won't get our satisfaction is trolling. So does that mean that if I don't like one aspect of the game, I'm automatically a crybaby? Non-sequitir logic. Post hoc ergo proptor hoc, buddy. Smile

    5. Ever tried making your own map? It's quite easy once you understand the fundamentals. It's the creative side and more importantly, the LOGICAL side (one second I'm in a casino, next I'm in the garage, now I'm in a football stadium... wait WHAT? Blink )

    Gotta side with you Neil. I do love the new maps, Mudertown and CQB dark, just as much as Calypso. But im not gonna **** in your ear and tell you its raining.

    As much as i love Murdertown, it is what it is. You said exactly what it is...changing the lighting from day to night and turning on lights....doesn't exactly equate to a NEW map pack.
    Lets be honest here...it took Ubisoft all of 3 hours at most to do Murdertown and CQB dark, im pretty sure.
